  • Best summer job ever, sitting in right hand seat of one of those. Good times. I remember having to hold the throttles for take off or the vibration would ease it back if you didnt.

  • B-29 Superfortress. Four engined high altitude bomber. My mistake. I wouldn't believe my eyes, as the Mayor of Hiroshima 's last words would be, 'What the fu....'

  • Thanks for that, a B25 called Enola Gay dropped a nuke on Hiroshima and thousands of flight crews were alive afterwards. While Japanese fell on their swords. Not a bad compromise..

  • @bazadata that wasn't a b25 mate , it was a superfortress

  • The men that took part in the Doolittle raid had huge cajones. A) to take a B-25 off of the Hornet and B) just to do the mission! Great video!!

  • The copilot really put some attention into the throttles....probably needed some fine adjustments he could only do with his right hand!

  • @Tressiensia Ah, ok, he was using both hands.....what was he doing with his left, adjusting the trim tab?

  • Far better than a jet!

  • Absolutely thrilling to watch this, love the sound! Wow.

  • Like the video. I used to fly a B-25 back in the 80s. The crew drill of copilot taking over the throttles and then the handsigns for gear up, flaps up, etc brought back old memories.

  • very cool

  • Nice Video! How was the flight?
