At least I can understand the lyrics. Most "real metal" is just incomprehensible screaming. The music is awesome, but I'm a lyrics guy, if I can't undersand the words, then it just fucks it up for me. Though.....the original did have good classic metal.....eh, I like both....

I'm more into stuff that can stimulate my creativity and inspire me.....so, whatever I listen to, if I can't put a story or a sequence in my head to the music, I don't like it that much. Example: When I hear KoRn's "Clown", I immagine a bullied kid killing his tormentors. Usually beating one to death during the "Hit me clown because I'm not from your town" part, which serves as the inspiration for one of my characters.

Actually, Nu metal is rap mixed with metal. And Metal doesn't have to be aggressive. Listen to Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden, two of the most metal bands ever.

i know that...but the thing about maiden and sabbath is that they were aggressive for their times. not to mention agression dosnt always have to be in the forms of growls and heavy guitar but also in lyrics like in children of the grave, which is a black sabbath song.
