@blackbear1107 they are basically the same gun. the LT is composite plastic and AM is metal, they are both very durable, but if you bend the metal, it stays like that. the Composite will flex but go back to it's original shape.

Poppets are pretty damn reliable, that's why I went for the AM. It's also idiot proof, so long as you read the manual. This marker really doesn't need any upgrades. Great to start up with stock everything. As a personal preference, I went for the violent SCYTHE trigger just because I like my trigger to protrude outward more and be a little more snappy.

This may sound like a dumb question, but is the performance of an Etek3 LT or AM good enough to keep up with other guns on the field for things like PSP or NPPL? I have always wondered this! I know stuff like Kingman and Tippman, really are more for social paintball events and local field play. Whereas Ego's and DM10's are more for the professional line players and tournaments, could the Etek3 LT/AM be considered a professional line marker or is it more of a mid range social, local field marker?

Is the Etek3 LT twice as good as the Proto SLG 10, as the price suggests?

...To me they look similar in terms of performance, but I've never shot either marker.

@kloppanator LCD is a screen that you can read what your doing with the gun. LED is just lights. the etek 3 has 3 LED lights that show whether your in programing mode or not, eyes on/off, and battery life.

i would buy the am and spend the extra $100 because the most important parts on the gun are the composite parts espcially the frame and clamping feed. I dont know about you guys but i want an all metal clamping feedneck and frame which are the parts that are gonna take the most beating. plus the AM is ready for upgrading and the LT has to be converted to an AM in order to be upgraded. and I would rather spend the money and not have to get it fixed in the future.

etek 3 is basically an 08 ego...identical guns for around the same price...but the etek3 is brand new. i personally plan on getting an etek3 lt cause its $100 cheaper and essentially the same performance.

theres shockers, pmrs used egos used dms tons of used guns you can get...i recommend the etek3. you'll be satisified.

i got the etek 3 am and it rocks.... i really recommend it instead or the LT. Ego cost like twice as much, you can upgrade the etek 3 am to ego 10 if you want.

@lpraider777 well i dont have any upgrades, but i have the am so i will see if i need any more upgrades. you wont need any upgrades on AM if you want a plain nice one, if you want really pro you should do it. i did put my bolt the wrong way and then it will now fire more than 1-2 meters. and if it is up side down you will get alot of air in your face when your firing. you will see on the back that it dosent fit. GL mate, and i really good recommend it.
