also Actually all sorts of chosen sexual minorities (for example people who only have sex missionary style with the lights off--ew!) have civil rights, so the issue of choice canceling out something being a civil right is pretty freaking moot.
The "homosexual agenda" doesn't rest on the existence of "gay gene" (though some gay folks seem to think that finding a gay gene will earn the LGBT community respect from bigots like you), it's about sexual and social freedom. This doesn't cause you any harm at all unless you decide to continue feeling so hateful about the whole thing, in that case enjoy your ulcers and high blood pressure.
This kind of blind hatred (aka BLIND adherence to a 2000 year old religion based on a text written by MEN, not "GOD") is the reason why there is still oppression, poverty, and hate in America today. Also, stop associating yourself with Straight Edge, Punk, and Hardcore. We don't want you. As a matter of fact, we kind of all want to beat the fuck of you, Molotov Mitchell.
For the Record the stuff you said was truthfully the must hurtful stuff ever, there was no truth stated in this video it was just hate, you believe you have done something so good but really inside you know it was a lie and was truly bad, im gay and i dont hate the bible or nor God i dont trust the bible since it was temper with and is not valid truth all of it and history states it
So let me get this straight. For the last few years scientists have put research directly into brain wave activity been straight and gay men and women and found that gay men have a woman's brain and gay women have a man's brain. I could pull up some sources but you'd see them as communist or something retarded, before bothering to watch them or after as the video ends and you sit there with your fingers in your ears. After all that's all you do with religion. Find a New Testament anti-gay quote.
It seems someone posted this to a gay website. Way to prove him right with your hateful comments when he talks about how they act like a "Shall not be questioned" group.
I don't see why government is involved in marriage at all beyond taxation purposes.
If a heathen church wants to marry some gays, let them. I think it's a matter of religious freedom... even if that religion insists that the bible is full of lies and there's some mythical gay gene. To paraphrase Thomas Jefferson, it does us no harm if our neighbors believe in 10 gods, no gods, or a gay gene.
"If it can't change it isn't civil rights" - ok so if you are Christian we can discriminate against you because you can change. Also, change from being an unmitigated hate-filled douche bag. Thanks.
Do you guys seriously believe in a God, spirit, or soul, though? What's your proof? You can't condemn stuff as scientifically untenable when your own bizarre beliefs are scientifically untenable. Face it, guys, you've never seen God, your leaders never see God, and you make yourself out to be masochists thinking in your hearts that, as modern people, you're too impure ever to see any sign of the divine, when primitive shepherds with sheep-shit on their robes saw God every day!
@soonlaypale What exactly are 'gay rights'? They have all the other constitution rights straight people have, such as freedom of speech or the right to vote. It is not as if a secret police is going around to throw gays in jail for their actions.
I'm curious....is there a gay gene or not? and if so how is it spread?
in bio they teach that you can only get genes from your parents right? but if you're gay how does that happen? Not trying to hate, just curious. I mean I know there are other ways of doing having a child besides the traditional but what % of homosexuals actually do that? I wouldn't think a whole lot....so if it was genetic then wouldn't there be less and less homosexuals? again not hating just thinking about it.
@Flameruler4 Good question by the way. the reason the gay "gene" doesn't breed itself out of the population is because of the large gene pool. imagine a drop of red dye. now drop that in a cup of water. now try dropping it in a swimming pool which one shows a distinct difference? mutations exist within a population, but usually aren't seen until there is a significant reduction. Search "genetic bottle necking".
@GrandInquisitor7 Fred Phelps, Shirley Phelps, and Margie Phelps should all be arrested for hate crimes. Just for starters. Then they should be pissed on. Have a nice day.
Civil rights things can only be immutable things? So religion isn't civil rights material? Thanks, mister! Now I know I can attack the rights of christians, jews, muslims, athiests, and buddhists at my will!
Bottom line get in our way, do what you feel the need to do.
Ultimately The LGBT population and our millions of allies will win, not only on The Marriage Equality issue.. but on The Employment Non Discrimination Act and the list goes on and on.
We will not rest a second until gay lesbian bisexual and transgender Americans are equals under the law.
We don't legislate based off the bible, that's what The Constitution is for.. which by the way promises equal protection under the law.
You can't force non Christians to give a rat's ass about what the bible says, I most certainly do not.
By all means though once marriage equality gets to The Supreme Court, which I think it will... use mainly religious arguments. They won't hold up in court and will be a slam dunk victory for those who want equal rights for all Americans.
Mainstream health and mental health experts laugh at that.
Even the ex gay ministries themselves, don't claim to change a person's orientation.. they change their behavior. They are still attracted to the same sex. That's why the *success* rate is so low.
Also genius we don't make laws based off the bible, that's what The Constitution is for which by the way promises equal protection under the law.
@adoptedoneathotmail well thats the morality of your bible and i dont trust religous conservatives to know science most of you believe the universe was created in 6 days. PS and so what if same sex attraction is a choice whats your point?
marriage? that shit is only a legal contract between your family and the state, it really has nothing to do with love or your mythical god or it's bullshit bible.
You can state that science doesnt support the genetic component for determintiom of sexuality until youre blue in the face. Where are the studies? Where are the links? Where are the citations?
WHO SAID that every single person on the planet needs to have children? that everyone had the ability to reproduce? That homosexuality doesnt exist in nature? that sex cant be a pleasurable positive experience? that making children is the bases of morality? that things that make us uncomfortable and that are SIMPLY LESS COMMON are bad? .....OH you heard jesus tell you in your head? hmmm id say that was unnatural
This Molotov guy is clearly a homosexual and very insecure with himself. I'm sure God must be proud of someone who encourages hate against other people in his name through crappy youtube videos.
@PansSprite What about a woman who has had ovarian cancer and cannot reproduce? What about women who repeatedly miscarry? What about birth defects that lead to failed pregnancies or stillbirths. What about brain damaged children or those with genetic illnesses that cannot reproduce? Are they all "unnatural" as well. The term "unnatural" is absolute bullshit, it's just something you made up to justify your hatred of homosexuals, and yes, you are a homophobe.
There's no God, no spirit or soul, however. How can you even be a Christian when John 2:15 shows Jesus getting angry, making a whip and USING it on people? Doesn't that disqualify someone from being a role-model? I never get a straight answer from religionists about that. The time is to get smart, not to live in fear from talk about amazingly powerful yet invisible gods, who want to control every aspect of our lives but don't have the good drace to show up.
@Dracopol Like most atheists you fail to read the whole story and take one little verse and twist it to fit your evil ways... The Jews at that time were turning the temple, the most holy of holy places in their culture, into a market where lying and stealing were happening and people were basically dishonoring God in the most horrible way by dishonoring his house... Not once does it say he hit them it says he drove them out probably scaring them with it to get their attention... John 2:13-22
@Vani1laGori11a And YOU haven't read your own Bible enough. Deut. 14:24-26 specifically says moneychangers have to be there, just outside the Temple. On what authority was Jesus trying to usurp the word of God? Your contention and claims that the Bible "probably" says Jesus didn't hit anyone doesn't square with his actual manufacture of a WEAPON. I don't want to make a weapons-manufacturer my role-model. Maybe you do, but I see the BIble clearly thanks to the Skeptic's Annotated Bible.
@Dracopol I think you have the wrong reference or maybe a different translation or something because my Bible does not say anything about having a market in the temple the verses im reading are talking about tithes and don't even mention the temple at all i apologize about the rude remark the other day i didn't mean to offend you i didn't mean to sound like a total douche if these are the correct verses could you please explain where you see it okay to have a market in the temple
@Vani1laGori11a Don't hide behind translations! What was next to the Temple was legitimate; Jesus was acting illegitimately by offering violence to his fellow human beings, the moneychangers, which is NEVER excusable. It is a sin, and no one should follow an evil leader. Time to de-tox, and leave religion.
...the moment you suddenly say it's OKAY to scare, frighten, or physically assault some people just because of who they are, or what they're doing, you are relativizing moral absolutes. That's why it's not good to follow Jesus, who in his little mind felt it was okay to do violence to someone, so then his followers come to the same conclusion there is "just violence" concerning some OTHER group, and so it goes on and on!
@PansSprite shut the fuck up, you retard. just because something isn't natural, doesn't mean it's wrong to do it... yeah, we didn't evolve to be gay, but if someone happens to be gay, then fine! if you don't think it's right to be gay, you're a cunt. and a retard. like... you're seriously retarded. as in, if you're not in a mental hospital, you should be. prison would work to. prick.
@PansSprite So anything "unnatural" is inherently evil then, huh? That's funny, considering a common argument among Christians to explain that complete lack of evidence of god is that he exists "outside of nature". Which, of course, is a just a slightly fancier way of saying unnatural. Hmm, curious how bullshit arguments come back to bite you in the ass all the time.
so what is being gay is a choice or not? now a days even skin color and gender are choices.
so since homosexuals can be changed from gay to straight does that mean we should force everyone to become hetrosexuals. next i bet you will want everyone to like the same foods and dress the same way.
@PansSprite go fuck yourself, you're an intellectually bankrupt, inbred, christian-brainwashed moron with no human decency. I hate people like you, i think you are scum.
@PansSprite Thank you for stating so simply how God made a man and a woman to be able to come together as one physically and spiritually. this is EXACTLY what I know to be true. And yet even tho i state these facts I'm called a hater and a homophobe for standing up for what I know is right. But nobody ever calls ppl who truly hate and harrass Christans haters, because for some reason we deserve it. As I always say, in the beginning, God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve
What a pile of tripe. This fucking clown doesn't know what he's talking about. He's not gay so he can't speak from experience. NOBODY chooses to be gay. In a world full of assholes like the prick who produced this film, who would actively choose to be gay? The biggest claim is that people become gay because they were molested when they we're young. Again, that's complete horse shit.
@acronus They CHOOSE to physically participate in the lifestyle, no? Bible condemns heterosexual sex outside marriage as well, another choice. They certainly aren't "born" that way, either. It seems to be that it is a condition in which they find themselves--and it can change.
@acronus They CHOOSE to physically participate in the lifestyle, no? Bible condemns heterosexual sex outside marriage as well, another choice. They certainly aren't "born" that way, either. It seems to be that it is a condition in which they find themselves--and it can change.
He is accurate and I know at least the Political Gays no longer deny it. In fact you have to give it up for the Polygays they have led a formidable anti-Christ/God attack. First rate effort. Only recently have people realized this... through the anonymity of youtube they have been especially effective here as well as in local governments schools etc.. But it will be an uphill battle from here on, because finally people are aware of their goals. For 30 years they have gone uncontested.
I dont get how all these people have the attitude "cause you don't agree with me, youre stupid" then digress to insults and close mindedness, and then in the same sentence try to explain tolerance, even though they themselves are intolerant. Im not convinced because of this double mindedness. Its very confusing.
@PansSprite Gay men can't reproduce, therefore gay sex and gay love are wrong? Sorry, I don't see the connection. I like cheeseburgers, but I can't reproduce with one. Is it wrong that I enjoy the taste of cheeseburgers?
There's no actual research that shows homosexuality can be changed, but even if there was, why should that affect gay rights? If two men love each other, and want to adopt a kid and give the kid a good life, why shouldn't they be able to? Why should they be forced to become straight if they're happy the way they are? It's like saying non-Christians shouldn't have rights because you can choose to convert if you want rights, no one is forced not to be Christian.
HA HA HA HA none of the foundation of gay rights rest on the gay gene. I'm pretty up on feminist and other LGBT literature, and I've never heard the gay gene mentioned once. Never. Not once. I mean, that's beside the fact that saying genetic = immutable and not genetic = changeable is biologically unsound, and your implication is morally unsound.
Hence I conclude you are a retard. Address your response to the point he is making. Yes a persons religion can change. Is that the point?? NO! Address what was actually said. You said it. ".but all religions are covered by civil rights." We have a constitutional right to practice faith. Theres no constitutional law to practice the gay lifestyle. YES the gay community hinges on the claim they are BORN this way. Maybe if they just lobby it as a lifestyle choice, they can make a real go at it.
Those who hate the Bible are anti-American. It was the Bible that the founding fathers used to justify the Bible. Without the Bible, the Constitution is worthless.
i am a recently out gay man and i want to tell you, people like you are the reason i hated my self before and you sir make me sick, May God have mercy on your intolerant, ignorant, narrow minded self because i believe in god and do not believe he hates me for the way i was born.
@IDKsunshine Wow, look at you man. You're "out" and you still hate yourself and everyone else too. That should be proof enough that you really ought to take another long, hard look at the doctrines of God's love. If anyone says God hates anyone, well that is absolute rubbish. He loves EVERYONE; His love encompasses the whole human experience. SSA struggles are just one of a wide assortment of temptations all mankind experience. We should help one another -- not bash each other!
@PansSprite actually they are perfectly natural because the purpose in life scientifically is to preserve your genes. this is not only limited to having children, caring for your family such as your niece or brother is achieving this. A straight man can trust that a gay man will take care of his family without violating his wife, same with a lesbian woman left with a husband. sure they can't reproduce but they can still fulfill their purpose in a different way.
You *DO* know that marriage doesn't come from the bible, nor has marriage always meant one-man+one-woman? (Examples of same sex include Chinese marriages in the Fuijan province and it happened in the Roman Empire. Of course polygamy (both polygyny and polyandry) are rather well known) So the idea that gays want to destroy marriage is totally insane, and the idea that Gary and Steve down the street getting married will somehow affect you marrying the man/woman you love is fucking ridiculous
someone needs to tell this guy that you're only supposed to read the bible, you're not supposed to lube it up and hump it on the carpet like some horny dog. says the fag with or without the fag gene.
@ImpmonX there is no concent in rape. & kidscant make sexual repsonsible desisions with adults. which is why kids cant go to bars, stripclubs ect. by the way straight people who rape kids say it is love too so your arguement is flawed. Forcing gays to be straight is like forcing left handed people to become right handed. left handed people (like me) are more likely to cause accidents cuz our brains are different, we are likely to die younger and cause wrecks, but are you anti lefthanded?
@ImpmonX I find NAMBLA sick and offensive, as I find any straight pedophiles sick. The oldest family member in my family is right handed 94....who gives a shit. statisically left handed people are more likely to die from car wrecks, accidents, become alcoholics, like rock music, be gay even....ect. I am left handed. I never chose to be left handed. even if gay people chose to be gay it doesnt make it wrong or immoral, just as if you "choose" to be straight, which you didnt, doesnt matter.
@ImpmonX Animals don't have concent idiot. just as a child does not. so you can use your left hand and right hand....so would that make you sexually bisexual?
I thought gay rights depended on the fact that people are entitled to live their own life in their own way.
Also, pointing out that someone as awesome as Sir Ian McKellan disagrees with you? Not exactly helping your case there either.
I honestly cant believe this isn't a parody. These goofy straw man arguments like "Gay people hate the bible and want to destroy marriage" or that they want to kill god? Seriously? The right cant be THAT dumb.
To get a legal minority status, you need to be born like that (like being born black is unchangeable, so they made up that being gay is... unchangeable because of a so called gen)
Molotov Mitchell hits the nail right on the head once again! Are there such people as "ex-homosexuals?" Yes indeedy. Was it easy? No. But was it possible for some people to leave the homosexual lifestyle? YES!
Folks, listen up to this guy! He's not only informative, he's funny too! :)
@DrTerminus there are no such thing as "ex-homosexuals" just homosexuals who have been convinced that if they hate themselves enough and pretend to be straight they can be normal. there is nothing wrong with loving something different.
@guppinatorx No such thing as ex-homosexuals eh? Well, you've got a lot of explaining to convince them of that. I'm just relaying a very valid reality: SOME people can and do escape the bonds of the homosexual lifestyle. However, I do acknowledge it is 1st) not easy and 2nd) not a viable option for those who don't want to leave it.
@DrTerminus There are scientific studies that show that gays have a different brains. they aren't mentally or emotional different their body's have physical brain differences. if i give you an empty box and show you it's empty but you really want there to be somthin inside, your brain is going to play tricks on you, and fool you. "ex-homosexuals" do not exist, like i said only homosexuals that try so hard not to be gay, that they convince themselves they arent, but really they still are
@guppinatorx Sorry pal, we're not talking about a few isolated stragglers here; we're talking about THOUSANDS who have uprooted from the bonds of homosexuality. Just like a heterosexual man who has a wandering eye for multiple women other than his wife has to control his desires, so can homosexuals. I did not say it was easy; nevertheless it is possible. Since you are not them, you have no bearing in the case that they claim the changes they enjoy today.
@DrTerminus thats completely different a str8 man was allowed to chose the women he wants to spend the rest of thier life with & thats THOUSANDS of gays who are convinced they are straight... even though they arnt. It's not possible any more you cant alter your genetic make up no matter how hard you work. I am not them, but i am the adopted son of two gay dads, one of my dad's was sent to an ex-gay ministry to try and become straight, he still has nightmares to this day of it
@guppinatorx Looks like you've been brainwashed by your two gay dads. I would urge you to get out and start doing some serious independent study. You'll soon discover what I'm saying to be true. Same-sex attraction IS strong, true. It is also a true statement to declare that SOME of the overall homosexual population of the world has abandoned that lifestyle for a heterosexual one-man, one-woman, children -- traditional family lifestyle -- and done so successfully.
@DrTerminus FUCK YOU. MY dads are the best parents on the earth! and we love each other as a family. Just because my family is different than "tradition" and different than your family doesn't mean it's wrong! I wouldn't trade my gay parents for anything in the world! you cannot abandon what is genetically built into you, you can only suppress natural feelings that you have, which leads to serious phycologicla damage.
@guppinatorx "F*** you???" Well obviously you're already quite deficient because your "dads" haven't taught you any manners. Oh well, I'm not surprised. This is what happens people don't have the guts to debate or do some independent study -- they get mad and frustrated and start swearing up a storm.
@DrTerminus I am not deficient at all, i am actually the captain of the debate team at my high school. I used that language because I tend to get angry when someone insults my parents, the two people i love most in the world, regardless of what gender they are and what sexual orientation they have. I'm willing to debate with manners, just don't ever, EVER insult my parents EVER! and that was an obvious typo i meant psychological.
@DrTerminus Your right. There is actually ex gay movements.Look it up on wikipedia.Homosexuality is a choice mostly influenced by childhood or simply confusion.
@DrTerminus leave their homosexual lifestyle?! Give me an example of someone that is an 'ex-homosexual' and show me proof that they r no longer sexually attracted to members of the same sex?
If u are talking about thos christian anti-gay camps all they succeed in doin is making them feel a bit guilty about something that is totally natural, and (props only temporarily) changing their behaviour patterns. U cannot change who someone is sexually attracted to. And y would u want to?
@AboutRoberts You're joking aren't you? Are you for real? THOUSANDS of ex-homosexuals live all across the face of this planet. Their stories, their testimonies -- from all walks of life -- are incontrovertible proof. Do your homework man.
@DrTerminus Clearly u have never met anyone who has been sent to one of these 'anti-gay camp' thingys.
I have at university. And i can tell u straight up, all it did was make her feel bad about himself, she was still sexually attracted to other women and that couldnt be changed.
U also might wanna study little phsycology. Conditioning of various different (sometimes torturous) types can be used to change how ppl behave, but u cannot change the hardwired stuff that is there from birth.....
@DrTerminus For example it is impossible to condition someone not to eat food. It is also impossible to 'turn' a heterosexual gay. If they do exhibit homosexual behaviour that only means that it was written in their genes and set off bu horomonal levels in the womb (along with other influences) from the start.
Wikipedia is a great place to start research, so try gay gene into wiki and u will get ur answer.....
@DrTerminus the reason these peaopl testify is to get to fuck out of there and be left alone. U cannot make homosexuals into hetrosexuals just in the same way that U couldnt be conditioned to be sexually attracted to men (i'm presuming ur a man).
These institutions r one of the reasons the average life expectancy of homosexuals is lower than than that of hetrosexuals, because they come out of these places and they feel guilt cause they r still attracted to the same ppl, and some commit suicide
@DrTerminus And research what u r talking about, these anti-gay camps all uses different methods to try and achieve their goal, if they actually worked then y would they all choose different methods?
If u had read up on this stuff or actually met some gay ppl then i suppose u would know this, and u probably wouldnt feel so strongly against them. Not to mention that u would see the flaws in ur own arguements
@AboutRoberts You're so negative that I can see why you refuse to accept the fact that ex-homosexuals and ex-lesbians and ex-transgenders exist. I certainly cannot help you there. Research the following names and see what you come up with: Michael Glatze, James Hartline, Greg Quinlan -- to start with. And to see what gender confusion does to a person, bone up on ex-lesbian Ann Heche. The hallmark of the glbt condition is sexual confusion...for which there is a remedy.
.U r confusing gender confusion with homosexuality.
. U r being negative because u think that homosexuals need to change.
. And u fail to state what the 'remedy' is.
If u r trying to make a point it is not the strongest as u have probably not read anything to do with phsycology and the origins of individuals sexual orientaion.
I go back to my point, u cannot reprogram a persons hardwired processes, ie u cannot train people not to eat food.
@DrTerminus Micheal Glatze was brought up in a right wing christian family and his dad died of a heart problem when he was young.
Taking this into account i would it is sensible to say that when he had a haert problem he thought he was gonna befall the same fate as his dad. In the face of death he decided to look to wot would happen to his spirit when he died, and so went back to his childhood religion that taught homosexuality to be a sin. this cause him to claim himself to be straight....
@DrTerminus This wouldnt do anythign for my argument if it wasnt for the fact that when encountering his old friend Benoit Denizet-Lewis it is can be said that Micheal Glatze had to make a concious effort to restrain his actions, and exhibit 'heterosexual behaviour', as can be seen by this quote below
"As he approached I decided to lean in for a hug. Michael, though, pre-emptively stuck out his right hand. “Hello, Benoit,” he said, standing stiff and upright" NYtimes 16June 2007
This quote could be a little flimsy if it wasnt for his up bringing, and health scare, not to mention that the interviews he proclaimed his heterosexuality on (WorldNetDaily) is a right wing christian media outlet.
So it seems that Micheal Glatze is trying to protect is 'soul' by trying to be a straight man, but i i would be willing to wage that (tho he might not admit it) he is still sexually attrcted to men.
James Hartline is a sad case, but putting it bluntly i think that all his problems stem from tha fact that he was abused as a child. There is no was of telling if he really didnt find men sexually attractive anymore because he never married or had relations with a woman, tho this is probably largely down to the fact that he had HIV.
Again tho, religion crops up again in his childhood. I think that homosexuality as a sin being instillied the a young mind is key factor here...
@DrTerminus It is hard to tell if Hartline still found men sexually attractive but it would be interesting to see (if was possible) if he would turn out the same way if he wasnt abused as a child and then turned to drugs only to contract HIV in a drug den.
There is nothing to suggest that child abuse causes homosexuality, but in this case it sex was certainly a release for him.
@AboutRoberts Hmmm...so now you're an armchair personal psychologist for these and other ex-gays -- you seem to automatically know what's in their hearts, eh? Kinda like driving past the library and you mysteriously know the contents of all the volumes therein. Pretty ingenious.
@DrTerminus I have stated that i know a little about pshycology.
Most of wot i am saying simply facts i've got from typing there name into google and lookin at a number of websites that i would deem balanced and trustworthy. I then add my insight (if i have any at all).
I have a modicome of knowledge about how people behave this is through living an odd life and knowing odd people as well as taking the time to look a few things up that i am interested in...
@DrTerminus If you are blind to the fact that alot of these people that u have referenced have some things in common (right wing family up bringings & child abuse) then u need to look into your sources more.
@DrTerminus Right okay i have read up on Michael Glatz. And it seems that his 'change' is religiously motivated, and seems to be triggered by the fact that he had a health scare due to a heart palpitation, this turned out to be wheat intolorence (Celiac disease)
But all his proclaimations seem to be aimed at the right wing christian community. Odd when he was reported by Benoit Denizet-Lewis (a close friend) to have said “Christian fundamentalists should burn in hell!”.... (damn word count) =p
@DrTerminus "Homosexual lifestyle" is a manufactured term suggesting that everyone can help being gay, which is an unproven and bigoted statement. Most people find this guy a cunt, including me, which is why his dislike bar is as above.
"The whole foundation of the gay rights movement hinges upon the existence of a gay gene."
No it doesn't. It hinges on personal liberty and acceptance of the rights of others to think, speak, act and live in ways you may not agree with. The "gay gene" debate is a waste of time. Whether people choose to be gay or not is irrelevant to whether or not they should have the same rights as straight people.
Same sex attraction can be reversed. If you consider reversing it forcing a person to go through psychological torture in order to scare them into never admitting that they are gay.
Actually, no. The gay rights movement does not hinge on a "gay gene." It hinges on the fact that all people should have equal rights, but I guess that concept is too hard for you to understand.
@tadgodsey They should have the same rights as all other people, but they don't, at least not in the United States. Do they have the right to marry who they want, no. In some countries people are killed for being gay. That does not seem like equal rights to me.
@TheSH1N1GAM1 Well, I think the point I was making is that they have the same rights as straight people. Straight people can't same sex marry, or marry an animal or a refrigerator etc... So actually if they could marry whomever they want would be an extra right that others dont have. So you see, they really have the exact same rights as straight people. What they want is extra rights.
@tadgodsey They don't want to marry animals or inanimate objects, so I don't know why you are bringing that up. That would not be a marriage anyway because a marriage is between two adult humans. You can marry anyone you want. They can not marry anyone they want. They want the same rights you have, to marry a person of their choosing.
@tadgodsey Why would a gay person want to marry anyone of the opposite sex and why not let people marry the same sex if they choose? By not letting a woman marry another woman you are telling her she cannot do something a man can do which is marry a woman. That is gender discrimination.
@tadgodsey This argument is so dumb that I actually don't believe that anyone who uses it is serious, because even the tiny amount of faith I have in the human race prevents me from believing that someone could seriously make this argument. Do straight people have the right to marry who they love? Yes. Do gay people? No. Herp a derp
@LanceDirk I wasn't speaking to the fact that they can't marry who they love. That is actually pretty obvious. The argument is that they have the same rights; They just want something different than straight people. Its dumb because you don't agree with it or like it. I love my dog but I cant marry it...not that want to. You get the point.
@tadgodsey But if gay marriage is legalized, straight people will then have the right to marry someone of the same sex, so everyone will still have the same rights, and your nonsensical criteria will still be satisfied. And do you think the love that gay couples have for each other is more similar to the love straight couples have or to the love you have for your dog?
@LanceDirk I cannot speak on the type of "love" that gay couples have because Im not gay. Im sure the affection is real. Yes, if it was legal then yes, eveyone would still have the same rights. I dont know how that is nonsensical, unless you are still just trying to attack my assumed position. I don't recall really making any criteria, I believe it was the advocates that were making the criteria, hence my original comment.
@tadgodsey Well you learned something new. Well in the United States they don't. They can't marry who they love and they can be fired from their jobs for being gay, denied service in a restaurant or business, and in housing. They are supposed to be equal according to the constitution but their rights are not enforced but denied.

If there ever was a gay gene, the process of heterosexual reproduction would have eliminated it from the gene pool a long time ago.

also Actually all sorts of chosen sexual minorities (for example people who only have sex missionary style with the lights off--ew!) have civil rights, so the issue of choice canceling out something being a civil right is pretty freaking moot.

The "homosexual agenda" doesn't rest on the existence of "gay gene" (though some gay folks seem to think that finding a gay gene will earn the LGBT community respect from bigots like you), it's about sexual and social freedom. This doesn't cause you any harm at all unless you decide to continue feeling so hateful about the whole thing, in that case enjoy your ulcers and high blood pressure.
uninspired42 4 weeks ago
This kind of blind hatred (aka BLIND adherence to a 2000 year old religion based on a text written by MEN, not "GOD") is the reason why there is still oppression, poverty, and hate in America today. Also, stop associating yourself with Straight Edge, Punk, and Hardcore. We don't want you. As a matter of fact, we kind of all want to beat the fuck of you, Molotov Mitchell.

This guy just picks and chooses what his logic will apply to based on his bias.
He is one of the most vile, hate filled, worthless human beings on the planet, and that's saying something.
He tried to make excuses for Uganda making death sentences for homosexuals.
He downplayed homosexuals getting killed and beaten for being gay, suggesting it never happens
I bet he would deny the holocaust and lynchings also.(at least the religious aspect)

Flameruler4 3 months ago
@Flameruler4 Good question by the way. the reason the gay "gene" doesn't breed itself out of the population is because of the large gene pool. imagine a drop of red dye. now drop that in a cup of water. now try dropping it in a swimming pool which one shows a distinct difference? mutations exist within a population, but usually aren't seen until there is a significant reduction. Search "genetic bottle necking".

Dracopol 8 months ago
@Dracopol Like most atheists you fail to read the whole story and take one little verse and twist it to fit your evil ways... The Jews at that time were turning the temple, the most holy of holy places in their culture, into a market where lying and stealing were happening and people were basically dishonoring God in the most horrible way by dishonoring his house... Not once does it say he hit them it says he drove them out probably scaring them with it to get their attention... John 2:13-22
Vani1laGori11a 7 months ago
@Vani1laGori11a And YOU haven't read your own Bible enough. Deut. 14:24-26 specifically says moneychangers have to be there, just outside the Temple. On what authority was Jesus trying to usurp the word of God? Your contention and claims that the Bible "probably" says Jesus didn't hit anyone doesn't square with his actual manufacture of a WEAPON. I don't want to make a weapons-manufacturer my role-model. Maybe you do, but I see the BIble clearly thanks to the Skeptic's Annotated Bible.
Dracopol 7 months ago
@Dracopol I think you have the wrong reference or maybe a different translation or something because my Bible does not say anything about having a market in the temple the verses im reading are talking about tithes and don't even mention the temple at all i apologize about the rude remark the other day i didn't mean to offend you i didn't mean to sound like a total douche if these are the correct verses could you please explain where you see it okay to have a market in the temple
Vani1laGori11a 7 months ago
@Vani1laGori11a Don't hide behind translations! What was next to the Temple was legitimate; Jesus was acting illegitimately by offering violence to his fellow human beings, the moneychangers, which is NEVER excusable. It is a sin, and no one should follow an evil leader. Time to de-tox, and leave religion.
Dracopol 7 months ago
...the moment you suddenly say it's OKAY to scare, frighten, or physically assault some people just because of who they are, or what they're doing, you are relativizing moral absolutes. That's why it's not good to follow Jesus, who in his little mind felt it was okay to do violence to someone, so then his followers come to the same conclusion there is "just violence" concerning some OTHER group, and so it goes on and on!

LanceDirk 9 months ago
HA HA HA HA none of the foundation of gay rights rest on the gay gene. I'm pretty up on feminist and other LGBT literature, and I've never heard the gay gene mentioned once. Never. Not once. @PansSprite actually they are perfectly natural because the purpose in life scientifically is to preserve your genes. this is not only limited to having children, caring for your family such as your niece or brother is achieving this.

They depend on the "gay gene"
Sorry if it sounds bad.
ImpmonX 1 year ago
@ImpmonX it doesn't sound bad, it just sounds irrelevant.
Whether or not you consider gay people a "legal minority" has no relevance to whether you think they should get rights the same as the rest of us.

DrTerminus 1 year ago
@DrTerminus there are no such thing as "ex-homosexuals" just homosexuals who have been convinced that if they hate themselves enough and pretend to be straight they can be normal. there is nothing wrong with loving something different.
guppinatorx 11 months ago
@guppinatorx No such thing as ex-homosexuals eh? Well, you've got a lot of explaining to convince them of that. I'm just relaying a very valid reality: SOME people can and do escape the bonds of the homosexual lifestyle. However, I do acknowledge it is 1st) not easy and 2nd) not a viable option for those who don't want to leave it.
DrTerminus 11 months ago
@DrTerminus There are scientific studies that show that gays have a different brains. they aren't mentally or emotional different their body's have physical brain differences. if i give you an empty box and show you it's empty but you really want there to be somthin inside, your brain is going to play tricks on you, and fool you. "ex-homosexuals" do not exist, like i said only homosexuals that try so hard not to be gay, that they convince themselves they arent, but really they still are
guppinatorx 10 months ago
@guppinatorx Sorry pal, we're not talking about a few isolated stragglers here; we're talking about THOUSANDS who have uprooted from the bonds of homosexuality. Just like a heterosexual man who has a wandering eye for multiple women other than his wife has to control his desires, so can homosexuals. I did not say it was easy; nevertheless it is possible. Since you are not them, you have no bearing in the case that they claim the changes they enjoy today.
DrTerminus 10 months ago
@DrTerminus thats completely different a str8 man was allowed to chose the women he wants to spend the rest of thier life with & thats THOUSANDS of gays who are convinced they are straight... even though they arnt. It's not possible any more you cant alter your genetic make up no matter how hard you work. I am not them, but i am the adopted son of two gay dads, one of my dad's was sent to an ex-gay ministry to try and become straight, he still has nightmares to this day of it
guppinatorx 10 months ago
@guppinatorx Looks like you've been brainwashed by your two gay dads. I would urge you to get out and start doing some serious independent study. You'll soon discover what I'm saying to be true. Same-sex attraction IS strong, true. It is also a true statement to declare that SOME of the overall homosexual population of the world has abandoned that lifestyle for a heterosexual one-man, one-woman, children -- traditional family lifestyle -- and done so successfully.
DrTerminus 10 months ago
@DrTerminus FUCK YOU. MY dads are the best parents on the earth! and we love each other as a family. Just because my family is different than "tradition" and different than your family doesn't mean it's wrong! I wouldn't trade my gay parents for anything in the world! you cannot abandon what is genetically built into you, you can only suppress natural feelings that you have, which leads to serious phycologicla damage.
guppinatorx 10 months ago
@guppinatorx "F*** you???" Well obviously you're already quite deficient because your "dads" haven't taught you any manners. Oh well, I'm not surprised. This is what happens people don't have the guts to debate or do some independent study -- they get mad and frustrated and start swearing up a storm.
p.s. -- What does "phycologicla" mean?
DrTerminus 10 months ago
@DrTerminus I am not deficient at all, i am actually the captain of the debate team at my high school. I used that language because I tend to get angry when someone insults my parents, the two people i love most in the world, regardless of what gender they are and what sexual orientation they have. I'm willing to debate with manners, just don't ever, EVER insult my parents EVER! and that was an obvious typo i meant psychological.

@guppinatorx -- You say you were adopted by two gay dads. Your profile states you are 15. Are you attracted to girls or boys?
DrTerminus 10 months ago
@DrTerminus I am a 15 year old boy who is attracted to girls. I am 100% hetrosexual

@guppinatorx being raised by gay parents doesnt make you gay if thats what your getting at.

AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@AboutRoberts You're joking aren't you? Are you for real? THOUSANDS of ex-homosexuals live all across the face of this planet. Their stories, their testimonies -- from all walks of life -- are incontrovertible proof. Do your homework man.
DrTerminus 8 months ago
@DrTerminus Clearly u have never met anyone who has been sent to one of these 'anti-gay camp' thingys.
I have at university. And i can tell u straight up, all it did was make her feel bad about himself, she was still sexually attracted to other women and that couldnt be changed.
U also might wanna study little phsycology. Conditioning of various different (sometimes torturous) types can be used to change how ppl behave, but u cannot change the hardwired stuff that is there from birth.....
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@DrTerminus For example it is impossible to condition someone not to eat food. It is also impossible to 'turn' a heterosexual gay. If they do exhibit homosexual behaviour that only means that it was written in their genes and set off bu horomonal levels in the womb (along with other influences) from the start.
Wikipedia is a great place to start research, so try gay gene into wiki and u will get ur answer.....
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@DrTerminus the reason these peaopl testify is to get to fuck out of there and be left alone. U cannot make homosexuals into hetrosexuals just in the same way that U couldnt be conditioned to be sexually attracted to men (i'm presuming ur a man).
These institutions r one of the reasons the average life expectancy of homosexuals is lower than than that of hetrosexuals, because they come out of these places and they feel guilt cause they r still attracted to the same ppl, and some commit suicide
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@DrTerminus And research what u r talking about, these anti-gay camps all uses different methods to try and achieve their goal, if they actually worked then y would they all choose different methods?
If u had read up on this stuff or actually met some gay ppl then i suppose u would know this, and u probably wouldnt feel so strongly against them. Not to mention that u would see the flaws in ur own arguements
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@AboutRoberts You're so negative that I can see why you refuse to accept the fact that ex-homosexuals and ex-lesbians and ex-transgenders exist. I certainly cannot help you there. Research the following names and see what you come up with: Michael Glatze, James Hartline, Greg Quinlan -- to start with. And to see what gender confusion does to a person, bone up on ex-lesbian Ann Heche. The hallmark of the glbt condition is sexual confusion...for which there is a remedy.
DrTerminus 8 months ago
@DrTerminus Number of mistakes here.
.U r confusing gender confusion with homosexuality.
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@DrTerminus Micheal Glatze was brought up in a right wing christian family and his dad died of a heart problem when he was young.
Taking this into account i would it is sensible to say that when he had a haert problem he thought he was gonna befall the same fate as his dad. In the face of death he decided to look to wot would happen to his spirit when he died, and so went back to his childhood religion that taught homosexuality to be a sin. this cause him to claim himself to be straight....
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@DrTerminus This wouldnt do anythign for my argument if it wasnt for the fact that when encountering his old friend Benoit Denizet-Lewis it is can be said that Micheal Glatze had to make a concious effort to restrain his actions, and exhibit 'heterosexual behaviour', as can be seen by this quote below
"As he approached I decided to lean in for a hug. Michael, though, pre-emptively stuck out his right hand. “Hello, Benoit,” he said, standing stiff and upright" NYtimes 16June 2007
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
This quote could be a little flimsy if it wasnt for his up bringing, and health scare, not to mention that the interviews he proclaimed his heterosexuality on (WorldNetDaily) is a right wing christian media outlet.
So it seems that Micheal Glatze is trying to protect is 'soul' by trying to be a straight man, but i i would be willing to wage that (tho he might not admit it) he is still sexually attrcted to men.
OKAY nest name....James Hartline
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
James Hartline is a sad case, but putting it bluntly i think that all his problems stem from tha fact that he was abused as a child. There is no was of telling if he really didnt find men sexually attractive anymore because he never married or had relations with a woman, tho this is probably largely down to the fact that he had HIV.
Again tho, religion crops up again in his childhood. I think that homosexuality as a sin being instillied the a young mind is key factor here...
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@DrTerminus It is hard to tell if Hartline still found men sexually attractive but it would be interesting to see (if was possible) if he would turn out the same way if he wasnt abused as a child and then turned to drugs only to contract HIV in a drug den.
There is nothing to suggest that child abuse causes homosexuality, but in this case it sex was certainly a release for him.
I think thats all i can say on this one.
Okay so next up is Greg Quinlan
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@AboutRoberts Hmmm...so now you're an armchair personal psychologist for these and other ex-gays -- you seem to automatically know what's in their hearts, eh? Kinda like driving past the library and you mysteriously know the contents of all the volumes therein. Pretty ingenious.
DrTerminus 8 months ago
@DrTerminus I have stated that i know a little about pshycology.
Most of wot i am saying simply facts i've got from typing there name into google and lookin at a number of websites that i would deem balanced and trustworthy. I then add my insight (if i have any at all).
I have a modicome of knowledge about how people behave this is through living an odd life and knowing odd people as well as taking the time to look a few things up that i am interested in...
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@DrTerminus If you are blind to the fact that alot of these people that u have referenced have some things in common (right wing family up bringings & child abuse) then u need to look into your sources more.
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@DrTerminus Oh and by the way i've looked at those other names and thats what i was refereing to before.
Oh and did u know that James Quilan devorced. I know ppl devorce for all sorts of reasons but it does cast doubt over the whole affair doesnt it.
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@DrTerminus i am presently looking into those names
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@DrTerminus Right okay i have read up on Michael Glatz. And it seems that his 'change' is religiously motivated, and seems to be triggered by the fact that he had a health scare due to a heart palpitation, this turned out to be wheat intolorence (Celiac disease)
But all his proclaimations seem to be aimed at the right wing christian community. Odd when he was reported by Benoit Denizet-Lewis (a close friend) to have said “Christian fundamentalists should burn in hell!”.... (damn word count) =p
AboutRoberts 8 months ago
@DrTerminus Yes they're are such a thing as ex-homosexuals. They are called late homosexuals, or dead if you wanna be crude about it.
PS
Homosexuality is a trait not a lifestyle.

Next.
stevelikestocurse 1 year ago
Same sex attraction can be reversed. If you consider reversing it forcing a person to go through psychological torture in order to scare them into never admitting that they are gay.
TheSH1N1GAM1 1 year ago
Actually, no. The gay rights movement does not hinge on a "gay gene." It hinges on the fact that all people should have equal rights, but I guess that concept is too hard for you to understand.
TheSH1N1GAM1 1 year ago
@TheSH1N1GAM1 I wasn't aware that gays didn't have the same rights as other people.
tadgodsey 1 year ago
@tadgodsey They should have the same rights as all other people, but they don't, at least not in the United States. Do they have the right to marry who they want, no. In some countries people are killed for being gay. That does not seem like equal rights to me.
TheSH1N1GAM1 1 year ago
@TheSH1N1GAM1 Well, I think the point I was making is that they have the same rights as straight people. Straight people can't same sex marry, or marry an animal or a refrigerator etc... So actually if they could marry whomever they want would be an extra right that others dont have. So you see, they really have the exact same rights as straight people. What they want is extra rights.
tadgodsey 1 year ago
@tadgodsey They don't want to marry animals or inanimate objects, so I don't know why you are bringing that up. That would not be a marriage anyway because a marriage is between two adult humans. You can marry anyone you want. They can not marry anyone they want. They want the same rights you have, to marry a person of their choosing.
TheSH1N1GAM1 1 year ago
@tadgodsey Why would a gay person want to marry anyone of the opposite sex and why not let people marry the same sex if they choose? By not letting a woman marry another woman you are telling her she cannot do something a man can do which is marry a woman. That is gender discrimination.
johnrcrews 1 year ago
@tadgodsey This argument is so dumb that I actually don't believe that anyone who uses it is serious, because even the tiny amount of faith I have in the human race prevents me from believing that someone could seriously make this argument. Do straight people have the right to marry who they love? Yes. Do gay people? No. Herp a derp
LanceDirk 9 months ago
@LanceDirk I wasn't speaking to the fact that they can't marry who they love. That is actually pretty obvious. The argument is that they have the same rights; They just want something different than straight people. Its dumb because you don't agree with it or like it. I love my dog but I cant marry it...not that want to. You get the point.
tadgodsey 9 months ago
@tadgodsey But if gay marriage is legalized, straight people will then have the right to marry someone of the same sex, so everyone will still have the same rights, and your nonsensical criteria will still be satisfied. And do you think the love that gay couples have for each other is more similar to the love straight couples have or to the love you have for your dog?
LanceDirk 9 months ago
@LanceDirk I cannot speak on the type of "love" that gay couples have because Im not gay. Im sure the affection is real. Yes, if it was legal then yes, eveyone would still have the same rights. I dont know how that is nonsensical, unless you are still just trying to attack my assumed position. I don't recall really making any criteria, I believe it was the advocates that were making the criteria, hence my original comment.
tadgodsey 9 months ago
@tadgodsey Well you learned something new. Well in the United States they don't. They can't marry who they love and they can be fired from their jobs for being gay, denied service in a restaurant or business, and in housing. They are supposed to be equal according to the constitution but their rights are not enforced but denied.
