I thought you said "expert skier"? this looks to me like a moderate skier. I ride laps on the Dive and trust me, if you guys were "expert skiers," with fresh snow on the ground, you'd be going much faster and hittin up as many of the great rock drop features that delirium offers as you can on the way down.
great video!! I was just there this year right after they had a couple days of +10 cm, unreal!!! I cant tell if you guys are in galaxy bowl (the bowl that is skier right of the normal route) it has the best snow because no one ever really treks over to there.
ooo yea thats wat i thought..as tempting as it sounds...i know id love to hit silver tip and delerium, but those hills arent worth $200+ for me just yet lol. Although, I really really want to haha
is it true you need an avalanche tranceiver and a shovel? Because the shovel is no problem but i dont wanna dish out a few hundred on a tranceiver.. Yet i REALLY wanna hit the dive this season...
yes, you need a shovel and a transceiver & you mays well go for the trifecta by adding a probe too. transceiver wise, you may want to consider picking up a unit from last season at a rental shop that has new gear for this season. - Elwood
That is some very excellent skiing.

you can go to the U of C, and rent the equipment from their Outdoor Recreation Centre.

ok thx. And how much do you think ill have to pay, roughly, for the probe and tranceiver?
wonderingGuitarist 2 years ago
$225 to $350. Do not scrimp on a good transceiver though. make sure it can easily detect mutiple burials.
