His mother wrote the lyrics...this sounds like one of the recordings somebody made at the Buskers Ball session I used to run in Bolton...just before he left to join McFly...there were about 500 copies of the single made for charity...I still have one..in fact I still have a few discs of Danny doing Springsteen stuff LOL This was probably recorded at the Cross Guns in Egerton..Good Times :o)
if you read the lyrics like a poem... they are beautiful... i dont know if he wrote them or not.... if he did..... they are gorgeous.... but... i just dont like the rythem or the way his voice sounds in this song. His point is really awesome though. Long live lady liberty... and my home!

I'm not sure, but I think he wrote it with his mom's help shortly after 9/11.. anyway, Im not completly sure, but I think it was like it :)

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that his mum wrote it, he then took it on and sang it. He'd only have been about 16 (cant remember the year of 9/11) when this was written.

That's amazing. Really it is. He wrote this in 2001 when he was 15, for a radio competition. And if I remember correctly, he won. The song is absolutely amazing though.

The way he plays it makes it kind of bluesy and it kind of makes sense for him. Hes into blues music if you watch the bad boy chat with him he says he listens to a blues guitarist so it makes sense he made this bluesy. Since he wrote it before he became THE danny jones.
