  • @sangennar : It was a fun modeling project. Jet belts like this can only carry enough fuel for 30 seconds of flying but a simulator is not restricted by reality. I could not resist the fun of flying among the building in San Diego - or Bagdad.. It is a real balancing act and there is no gliding down.

  • The video is made of screen captures of the model man and the rocket belt. You can not influence the man in the video with a joystick. Its a motion picture slide show. He was made for and flies in the X-Plane flight simulator that also makes the scenery. X-plane models are usually airplanes flown in the computer world under control of joystick and throttle.

  • Gosh, the Bell Jet Belt didn't fly until 1969. This belt looks more like the Thomas Moore flying belt.

  • I want one of these... sure would beat the 405 freeway.
