  • try and beat that train....try it.....

  • @ScatmanJoeButt Well in this area the speed limit of both the track and the road is about the same, so it's not technically possible. Not without speeding anyway.

  • @murjax i went there alot for vacation and i see people going around the gates alot! I dont know how they are able to dodge the trains and cars but they do it....must take a lot of skillz

  • @ScatmanJoeButt There are a lot of people that do it. A lot of them don't make it through alive either. I kind of wish people would consider that before doing it. Saving 2 minutes isn't worth your life.

  • @murjax 1 minute can do anything in this world. Times so powerful when it comes to life and maybe waiting for it could save us from our own downfall

  • That's a K5HLA

  • Oh? I was told a while back all FECs use Leslie R3s. I guess not. This makes more sense because FEC gets a lot of its locomotives from others Class Is. We have quite a few from UP and Conrail here. I'm not a horn expert, but I do know that most trains that come through here can barely be heard from my house 3 miles away, although a select few can be heard clear as day for 10 miles.

  • @amtrakboy37 its a K5LLA

  • Nice catch

  • Thanks.

  • COOL, an alaska engine in florida! Oh wait that's not an alaska engine, it's just FEC copying their paint scheme again, LOL! nice catch!

  • I thought it was UP.

  • I was talking about the 1st engine.

  • Oh.

  • Nice catch. And damn, that's one long a-- train. I would have definitely gotten pissed if I had to wait that one out.

  • That's why many people die each year at crossings just like this one.

  • Great catch. It looks warm down there.

  • High 70s. I walked 5 and a half miles the day I took this.

  • It's in the mid 40's here and it feels like summer to me.

  • Yeah I figured lol. I was up there in late December/early January during a cold spell (10-15 degree weather) and 30 ended up feeling pretty warm after that lol.

  • Nice video! Around what time was this taken?

  • I took this sometime between 1 and 2 PM. Do you know what train this was?

  • It's train 101. I asked because I was trying to figure out myself what train it was. 101 usually leaves Bowden around 1 PM Mon-Thu and doesn't get to Hialeah until around 10 PM Mon-Thu. It leaves around 3 PM Fri-Sun and gets to Hialeah around 11PM Fri-Sun.

  • Sweet. Thanks for the info, it might help me next time I want to catch it. I'll add the train number to the title and description.
