  • the jonas brothers fucked up a great song when they covered this song

  • God. How much better than the wimpy John Mayer version...

  • I was there but 2nd row to the left

  • i must have been standing right next to you.

  • Great performance. Too much crowd noise tho. I don't consider anything a "concert film" if you hear audience members singing louder than the actual artist.

  • man i pretty much sobbed through this performance. they were amazing. this was a dream come true seeing them. i can die happy now. ty for posting this.

  • @ALIgator33 thanks for the comment it pretty much made my day. i'm in a band and sort of stuck on a song that i've lost enthusiasm for writing but what you said reminded me that you don't write music for yourself

  • @rostrom7 watching this video again even now, almost 2 years later still brings me to tears. people find inspiration in little things sometimes, and i'm glad my comment could help. always let the simple things touch you. i did, and now i consider seeing this live one of the best moments of my life. and thanks to this video, i can relive it.

  • i like tom petty before the show but after i becam a fan man it was special its a in my top ten shows a even with the sound problems they had it didnt slow them or the crowd down at all

  • thanks again!

  • I WAS THERE!!!

  • i was about 20 feet from the stage, sorry to all of those i crowded. this was by far the best performance i have ever witnessed. it was so wonderful to see how grateful tom petty was. he thanked the audience after every song. he's had a long run and it's amazing to see that he's still down to earth.

  • he put on a hell of a show :) hi to all the hotties i saw out there

  • omg...all the kids from Yahoo, Google, MS, the Xgereration were there...

  • The ingredients necessary for a person to be 'enthralled' by a musical performance is different for different peeps.

For me it's intensity. Don't have to jump around, or gyrate with sexual abandon. They only have to be totally comfortable with their music, crowd, and the stage...enough so to be able to show us THAT UNIQUE SIDE that makes them different!

I was also able to see the special changes that the man goes through, and the nuances that compelled me to watch intently...

    FIRST TIME..WOW!

  • thanks for the vid. I worked the show, I'm a stagehand, and that stage was a hard set up. they had a lot of stuff involved in all those lights and video.

nice to see it from the audiences' view, I was back stage almost the whole show and didn't get to see what you all get to see.

    It's pretty cool looking!

  • wow so the guy who played the last superbowl half time show is a zombie?

no, i was there and he was F'ing fantastic

  • say what you want, but the whole polo field was singing along for the joy of singing, but then again that's something a cynic like you wouldn't understand

  • yes, as a cynic, i understand very little. for me, life is devoid of joy and singing. i can only attempt to justify my meek existence by trolling abysmal failures such as yourself.

  • so simply by liking tom petty im an "abysmal failure?
