nadal had good luck because gonzalez wasn`t playing his best tennis, however he was the only sudamerican tennis player that got a medal in that olimpic games, it would be a pleasure seeing him again if he wanted to return, althought he may not play the tennis like before :(
@wolverine35050 Nadal had good luck? LOL. What match did you see? Nadal defeated González 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 with full control of the match. There wasn´t a single moment in the entire match when you could expect Fernando to win. (Anyway, very good player the Chilean)
@MattGuerry He is the true champ. Man with a golden heart. He is not only going to be remembered for his achievement on the court, but for his overall conduct, a true gentleman
the olympic gold is better than a grand slam cause the olympics only come around once evey 4 years, some people only get 1 or 2 chances to win a gold where as a grand slam is every year.
fernando gonzales however has the gold medal in doubles, the singles silver, and bronze in singles too. The Chilean has a good history in tennis! Tennis is one of the most good in the history of tennis in my opinion!
...Nadal has yeat to reach the final of USO, Federer has reached the final of every GS at least 4 times...Nadal has h2h record of 13-7 vs Federer, 9 of those 13 victories have came on clay(he is the best clay-court player ever), Federer won his first 7 GS in as many finals, Nadal has yet to reach 7 GS...Im sorry Nadal fans, i understand the love you have for your idol(one of my best friends is a die hard fan of him) but sometimes we have to accept the true...Roger Federer is the Best Ever...
At 23 Federer had a Masters Cup...Nadal has not even reached 1 final...He gets to TMC burned down...
Since FO 2005 Nadal has won 6 GS, Federer has won 11...Federer was no.1 for 237 consecutive weeks(a record), Nadal wasn´t even able to reach 52...Federer has 21 GS semi-finals in a row, Nadal has....0, Federer has 6 GS finals in a row, Nadal has 0, Federer currently owns 3 of the 4 GS, he has held three majors on three occasions(2004,2006,2007) and he can do it for a fourth time if he wins USO.
how often do u c the gold medal winner share his podium, a class act, if they do it often im sorry i dnt wotch the olympics that match only tennis and the 100m dash
actually nadal is better than him cus nadal is the new generation and he´s younger federer is history now remember that Nadal is overpowered on matches. and Nadal is considered by mostly all the best clay player of all time!
? I dont undretan your Point sorry...... Yes i know federer is Number one and have 15 grand slam. and He become one of the greates players of all times. even Nadal thinks he´s the best. But that doesent mean that Nadal will losse matches against him. Nadal wins Federer Mentaly and By Speed. nadal still ahev alot to do you cant just say the knee problem will end he´s career your not him.... maybe if you had that problem you would be in Koma...

Sure. When Federer was 23, he won 3 Grand Slams in one year. What did Nadal do when he was 23? I guess he was busy recovering from injuries. Yes, I know Nadal has won more than Fed at his age, but you have to face it, Nadal has to concentrate more on the Grand Slams if he wants to last longer. Besides, inevitably someone will prove to be Nadal's nemesis in between now and a couple of years. I don't think he'll reach 15 Grand Slam wins.
Who cares if he has a winning record against federer? Krajicek has a winning record against sampras, yet he only won 1 grand slam, sampras won 14. And Nadal doesn't have a good body? Nadal is one of the best athletes on the tour. He should just play less tournaments. Besides, youre being pretty subjective here. Federer beat players like Safin, Agassi, Roddick, Hewitt in Grand Slam finals (and also Djokovic, Soderling, Nadal and Murray). At least he keeps reaching the (semi)final.
Im sorry that you are a sore loser. but Nadal is better then Federer and even Federer know that and thats why he said, "Rafa is great player, and this is why he can beat me in every type of court..............Im scared of him". Thats what he siad druing this years French Open. sorry to break it to you, but the truth is the truth.
Wtf Federer said "I'm scared of him" - you bloody lier.
The fact that Nadal leads their head-to-head is because they played more than 50 % of their matches on clay. Where was Nadal on hard and grass courts in 2004-2007?
And Nadal just has a style that doesn't suit Federer's game at all - it's the high top spin on his one-handed backhand. This is like saying: Federer can only lose to Nadal but Nadal can lose to a bunch of players.
Nadal himself called Federer the GOAT and that's a fact
*Liar, A so-called'champion like federer'' you saying nadals game does not suit federers game . Theres something called adapting to your opponents game. This federer whenever he loses, says nothing looks sad, handshake is not sincere.his a fucken cryer/selfish cunt so fuck up u english fuck
But to be fair with you, the French Open and Wimbledon are the only Slams in which he has a really good chance of winning. The Australian Open and especially the US Open not so much. And I wouldn't write off Federer just yet.
he beat fed at aussie open, and without del po, the only threats for us open are the inconsistent djokovic, federer (who can't beat nadal often), murray, and soderling. if nadal can beat soderling, he can win us open.
But Nadal won't be in such super form each hard cour Slam that occurs, the 2009 AO was the absolute best of him I have seen to date (Federer was still struggling back then). As for this year's US Open, depends how much Nadal wants the title and if he gets an easy draw. Both Murray and Djokovic will be at least in the quarters (Djoker has at least 3 Semis in a row now -all lost to Federer), Soderling will be tougher than at the French or Wimbledon and Federer could still show something. We'll see
murray has failed to reach the quarters twice in this last four grand slams. he will not definitely make it. as for djokovic, he will likely do well at his best tournament, but nadal can still beat djokovic in peak form. i'm most scared of soderling, a dangerous player who can beat anyone on any surface. berdych is also dangerous, but not a threat to nadal
When your career is over you don't get judged on who you had a better head-to-head record against, you look at your total slams and other majors. Federer had an off year in 2008, and yet he still won the US Open, thats how good he is.
Actually the 2003-2005 seasons were the toughest one in the history of tennis. There was Federer, Agassi, Nalbandian, Hewitt, Roddick, Safin, Ferrero and Nadal. That's primo.
Secondly, where was Nadal when Federer was winning all the majors? Where? He was good enough to challenge him on clay (in Federer's prime) but other than that not really.
Well there are so many good players now as well in Del Potro, Murray, Djokovic, Nadal and YET Federer is winning all the slams. How's that possible?
Imagine if nadal has been cheating would that mean federer would get all the GS he lost from Nadal? lolz that woud mean federer would be WORLD NUMBER for like 7years. heh lol but i think rafa doesnt cheat his good.
See people say that but fed hardly dominated after 25 either, i'd say with his work ethic and determination i say 27 for him, just look at other sports that are almost more gruelling such as mixed martial arts randy couture is a top contender at 45 so there are freak athletes out theres and rafa is one of them.
