there is also an all new alpina b3 S biturbo which produces 400bhp and a massive amount of torque. But torque isn't everything... I'd take a v8 which revs over 8400rpm over an inlinesix biturbo in a heartbeat.

@and79 Yes, I'm pretty sure the 4.0 V8 is the last N/A engine that they produce. Have you seen the new M1/M coupé? The engine is just a chiptuned 35i engine with 360 hp...

Speaking of the 35i engine its also in Alpina's M3 alternative the B3 bi-turbo with you guessed it, 360bhp! IMO M power engines need to be special, i don't think this one will be.....

@tam10thegame because the V8 w/ TT's make ALOT more torque than the high revving V10 that is in it now. sure it sounds better, but in order to keep up with AMG's big torque monsters, BMW had to step their power game up. With this new V8 motor, they have surpassed the AMG's in straight line performance. specs are around 560hp and 500+lb ft of torque vs the V10 w/ 500hp and 300+lb ft of torque.
