I was in high school in psychology class at the time. They told us over the loud speaker what happened and I ran out of class to use the payphones they had in school. My mother worked midtown and I had no idea where the trade centers were at the time, so i was just trying to contact her and make sure she was ok. I never got to see or talk to her until later that night, but luckily she was ok. God bless all the families affected by this day. Never forget. 9/11/01

Today in my World History class we took the time to remember and reflect on 9/11 and the people who fight for our country. For 15 minutes we did nothing, no talking, no writing, no work, we just sat there and thought and listened to 9/11 tribute music. It really affected my teacher. He was in the army at the time in upstate NY. His troops were the one of the first troops in Iraq. He did not have to go though b/c his service ended before his troop left. He helped in search & rescue at ground 0..
I was four blocks away when the towers collapsed. I was fast asleep and thought it was thunder when the first plane hit. Living four blocks from ground zero was a really intense experience. Every so often I find myself playing the footage of it and tearing up. It is somehow cathartic. The soundtrack is beautiful. I thought there used to be video footage set to this music track instead of photos but I can't seem to find it today. Anyone know the link?

I was in the market with my granny and grandpa, we stood in inside the market and watched from a TV on the wall, we just stood there and watched those towers fall down to pieces, it was horrible. Imagine that you are sitting in your office and se a plane coming straight to you, and everyone who were on the upper floors couldn't get out from the building.

Today in my World History class we took the time to remember and reflect on 9/11 and the people who fight for our country. For 15 minutes we did nothing, no talking, no writing, no work, we just sat there and thought and listened to 9/11 tribute music. It really affected my teacher. He was in the army at the time in upstate NY. His troops were the one of the first troops in Iraq. He did not have to go though b/c his service ended before his troop left. He helped in search & rescue at ground 0..

I was four blocks away when the towers collapsed. I was fast asleep and thought it was thunder when the first plane hit. Living four blocks from ground zero was a really intense experience. Every so often I find myself playing the footage of it and tearing up. It is somehow cathartic. The soundtrack is beautiful. I thought there used to be video footage set to this music track instead of photos but I can't seem to find it today. Anyone know the link?

so sad. i cry when i watch this. i still remember were i was, i was playing outside and we were about to leave to watch people start building our house. i just remember my mom crying and calling me inside. today we watched this at school. i had to come comment, so many stories. my friend and i cried while watching this.

Anyone know who made the audio (i.e. mixed the speech snippets into the song? The mp3 has been sitting on my computer pretty much since 2002.
Even after all these years it still sends a chill down my spine ... brings back all those horrible memories. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't _there_ when it happened, but still ... I guess we've all got that day burnt into our memories for the rest of our lives.

How can you fight over something that affected so many peoples lives? I lost my god-daddy in that. Thank you to all you jerks that keep fighting over this. I lost him when i was in first grade, me and my mom were going to get him from work as soon as we turned the corner, the building collapsed. Stop arguing about wheather it was a inside job, or not. 9/11 served as a bigger purpose than that. It brought us together as a country, and we proved that we could get through it, we never gave up, no matter how many people we lost, we just kept trying, What matters most is that america put aside there differences, and worked together. It was the only first time, that we didn't care who we hated & what we hated. We showed that america can get through anything, and that we will never give up.

I was 6 years old when that happened. I was in the market with my granny and grandpa, we stood in inside the market and watched from a TV on the wall, we just stood there and watched those towers fall down to pieces, it was horrible. Imagine that you are sitting in your office and se a plane coming straight to you, and everyone who were on the upper floors couldn't get out from the building.
