Republicans like to salute, wave the flag around and wear pins etc, then they cut funding for veterans programs, deny them benefits, mismanage hospitals, give military jobs to crooked contractors etc...Democrats had to fight just to get the troops some friggin' body armor! In the last congress 29 out of 31 Democrats have served this country in the US military. 10 out of 40 Republicans have. Reverend Wright was a combat medic in Korea. When did Sean Hannity serve? Rush Limbaugh? Dick Chaney? Vastly more prominent Democrats are veterans than Republicans. If you look at our history, it takes a Democrat to win a war. I'm not a big Hilary fan either BTW so who cares.

Look up "democrats republicans served" in google. If you have better numbers show me. I've seen lots of debates and speeches where McCain talks about his service. "Bragging" is a subjective word, I don't think John Kerry was bragging any more than McCain was. McCain was the son and grandson of Admirals. Jimmy Carter served 9 years in the Navy. Ronald Reagan talked about serving in WWII when it was actually a movie. None of that matters as much as the actual policies and issues they stand for.
