Evolution. The term "homo" mean "same" of course but according to history we have been evolving at a rapid pace, and homo sapiens (us) are the last ones to arise. We have been around for at least 200,000 years and during this time the last great change was around 50,000 years ago. My point is why have we not evolved even scarcely since then? Shouldn't we have more fingers or something? No change whatsoever.
Homosexuality is wrong by all means. Men and women are created for a purpose. Otherwise it would of been Adam and Steve or Addy and Eve. Obviously if that was the case then we wouldn't be here. Onto my next point...
God is not torturing people, people are torturing themselves when they are blinded by sin and worldly desires. Satan will be right along with the others who have succumbed to sin and decided that not following logical, moral, and ethical laws are the path to follow. When we are sent to heaven God will have our negative thoughts and any wrongful thoughts wiped from existence. No it will not take away our Free will because we will have choices to make however there will be no consequences to bare.
People, stop arguing on here.. God wants us to listen and not fight with our comrades, no matter who. Disagree or agree or even judge fellows here, it will never resolve to good and will never matter once in the kingdom of God..

Dude, all of you christians are dumber than atheists when it comes to actually KNOWING about RELIGION! Because a religious knowledge test showed that ATHEISTS were the most educated group when it came to religious knowledge which is probably one of the main reasons why they are atheists.
Jesus whom many of us believe came to earth to live like us, suffer like, enjoy like us, he was with us. and he wants us to have a better life than what we have now. But sin which all of us have chained us to judgement that we are to face. In order to give us a new life, he took all that sin for all. whether we want or not, he took it all. that is his love for us. To go heaven is not a place but a journey that we can be with Him eternally, cared and loved by him forever.

It is not that God wants us to go heaven or hell but rather a deliverance. Regardless we have a religion or not, believe in God or not, all of us know we are not perfect and have sins in our lives. And as we know, there is always repercussion in all we do. same as for sin whether we like it or not.

What is relevant is that you believe that Jesus is the risen son of god, and that he will return at a time known only to the Father. If you are wrong [which I don't think you are], then so be it. @joecushley He is not trying to send you to hell my dear. Everyone was supposed to go to hell but because God sent His only son to die for us on the cross, we do not need to die. He gave us a new lease of life, as clean as snow.
He is the one who is saving us so that we do not need to go hell, not send us to hell.

@joecushley I can try, you're choosing to reject him and his love. We are born a sinful people there is nothing we can do to atone for the hurt we cause God, but by his Grace we have been given eternal life, from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He could very easily make everyone of us believe and know and love him, but that would be like a bunch of robots just doing what we're told, thats why we have free will so its our choice. Its very sad you're choosing t go against him

@joecushley Instead of judging him, which is not your place or mine or anyone elses you could just ask him to come into your life and he will turn your life around. You would be spending eternity with him. Whether you think he's hateful or not, he exists, and believe it or not he loves you. You can't do anything to change that. Hell was not created for humans, but when we choose to reject him that's where we go. It's not because he doesn't love us, its because he is perfect and cannot stand sin.

@joecushley that's exactly the point! He doesn't want you to burn in hell. He wants you to be with him forever. God is like a painter. A painter once he has made something, never wants to lose that painting because he spent all his time to make it. However, if the painting is ruined, he needs to throw it away, just like we will go to hell if we don't accept God. It hurts Him. But God sent his Son to fix the painting so you won't have to go to hell. His last resort would be to send you to hell.

@joecushley also, he didn't create sin, the angel Lucifer did when he thought he could be just as powerful as God, so God sent him and his followers (1/3 of the angels) to hell. Then, when God made Adam and Eve, he gave them a choice not to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, even when he didn't want them to. Lucifer came in the form of a serpent to tempt them to eat it. He told them God was lying to them and the fruit would make them all powerful. Once they ate it, sin came in.

@joecushley true, i did say that. But in my eyes and many other's eyes God lets him live to give us a choice for who we are going to live. We can choose to be tempted by the devil, or we can live for God as a holy righteous being. God is definitely all-powerful. He's just letting the bad guy have a chance, even though he knows he could wipe him out in a second.

That's all very well, and I'm happy for you. My problem is, if I believed that, I'd have difficulty sleeping knowing that fellow human beings were being roasted 24/7 for all eternity simply because they chose not to believe in your god. @joecushley that's the cool thing about God. When you believe in him he gives you a "peace that surpasses all understanding." If you were concerned about it, he'd give you a way to help them out and he'll make you tranquil about it at the same time. You'll still have the conscience about it but you'll also know how you can save a lot of them.

@joecushley Hm. I've tried everything. So I have nothing to lose saying, luck is a mind trick based on a chain of positive events. Luck doesn't exist. However, in the chance it does exist, no amount of luck could push away the fact that God does exist, and no matter how hard you try to push him away, he'll always try to pull you closer. I believe in God because I think living eternally and in paradise as well as always being joyous as a plus, would be awesome. I wish you could be there with me.

God is not torturing people, people are torturing themselves when they are blinded by sin and worldly desires. Satan will be right along with the others who have succumbed to sin and decided that not following logical, moral, and ethical laws are the path to follow. When we are sent to heaven God will have our negative thoughts and any wrongful thoughts wiped from existence. No it will not take away our Free will because we will have choices to make however there will be no consequences to bare.

But sin which all of us have chained us to judgement that we are to face. In order to give us a new life, he took all that sin for all. whether we want or not, he took it all. that is his love for us. To go heaven is not a place but a journey that we can be with Him eternally, cared and loved by him forever.

@joecushley He is not trying to send you to hell my dear. Everyone was supposed to go to hell but because God sent His only son to die for us on the cross, we do not need to die. He gave us a new lease of life, as clean as snow.
He is the one who is saving us so that we do not need to go hell, not send us to hell.
God loves you and nothing more you do can make him hate you a little bit or love you more. His love for you is everything. God bless you :)

We are born a sinful people there is nothing we can do to atone for the hurt we cause God, but by his Grace we have been given eternal life, from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He could very easily make everyone of us believe and know and love him, but that would be like a bunch of robots just doing what we're told, thats why we have free will so its our choice. @joecushley Instead of judging him, which is not your place or mine or anyone elses you could just ask him to come into your life and he will turn your life around. You would be spending eternity with him. Whether you think he's hateful or not, he exists, and believe it or not he loves you. You can't do anything to change that. Hell was not created for humans, but when we choose to reject him that's where we go. It's not because he doesn't love us, its because he is perfect and cannot stand sin.

@joecushley that's exactly the point! He doesn't want you to burn in hell. He wants you to be with him forever. God is like a painter. A painter once he has made something, never wants to lose that painting because he spent all his time to make it. However, if the painting is ruined, he needs to throw it away, just like we will go to hell if we don't accept God. It hurts Him. But God sent his Son to fix the painting so you won't have to go to hell. His last resort would be to send you to hell.

@joecushley also, he didn't create sin, the angel Lucifer did when he thought he could be just as powerful as God, so God sent him and his followers (1/3 of the angels) to hell. Then, when God made Adam and Eve, he gave them a choice not to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, even when he didn't want them to. Lucifer came in the form of a serpent to tempt them to eat it. He told them God was lying to them and the fruit would make them all powerful. Once they ate it, sin came in.

We can choose to be tempted by the devil, or we can live for God as a holy righteous being. God is definitely all-powerful. @joecushley he doesn't hate you he loves everyone,the best thing to would be to pray, tell god what you have done, ask him for his forgiveness. Also when you feel like god is trying o say come with me.. then he wants you to be a part of heaven.i may not know alot about god as a 10year old but just pray its the best thing to do!

@joecushley look, he's not wanting to send you to hell! He wants you to live with him! It's kind of like owning a dog. Most owners love there dogs to death, but if the dog bites someone, then no matter how hard it is, they need to put it down. God is the owner and we are like the dog, but there's a difference. God gave us another chance and we can choose not to bite.

@joecushley oaky I'm sorry, I was trying to metaphorically explain this, but apparently it's a bit over your head. And how is giving someone a second chance evil? Saying God is evil is like saying the fire is freezing cold. It just doesn't happen that way, and it never will! How is it I can best explain the love of God to you? Other than, the times I live my life without God, suicidal thoughts are possible, but living for him, I can't help but want to dance in the streets for him like David did.

That's all very well, and I'm happy for you. My problem is, if I believed that, I'd have difficulty sleeping knowing that fellow human beings were being roasted 24/7 for all eternity simply because they chose not to believe in your god. Maybe it's something to do with having a conscience on my part. Dunno, just a thought...

If you were concerned about it, he'd give you a way to help them out and he'll make you tranquil about it at the same time. You'll still have the conscience about it but you'll also know how you can save a lot of them.

If you were concerned about it, he'd give you a way to help them out and he'll make you tranquil about it at the same time. You'll still have the conscience about it but you'll also know how you can save a lot of them. Plus, what if I'm right? If there is a hell and unbelievers go there, then wouldn't you be in danger yourself?

@joecushley Hm. I've tried everything. So I have nothing to lose saying, luck is a mind trick based on a chain of positive events. Luck doesn't exist. However, in the chance it does exist, no amount of luck could push away the fact that God does exist, and no matter how hard you try to push him away, he'll always try to pull you closer. I believe in God because I think living eternally and in paradise as well as always being joyous as a plus, would be awesome. I wish you could be there with me.

@joecushley as I've said many times before God DOESN'T want YOU to die and BURN IN HELL. Why would you not want to believe? What's keeping you from seeing what's real and what's not?... God put it in his followers to want to save other people. Why do you think I've spent so much time on this? I doesn't sound like I can change your mind, I'm only human. But with God, I know he can speak to you. I pray God reveals himself to you so you can enjoy the paradise I will.

@Aar OK. I know you're only a High School student, but follow this carefully. Is your god omnipotent? I'm assuming you'll answer 'yes'. Did he create hell? Yes, he created everything. Did he create the rules which govern who goes to hell? Yes, he is omnipotent. Could he change those rules so good people who do good works but don't believe in him don't burn in hell forever? Yes, he is omnipotent. Why doesn't he change those rules? ...I'm waiting...
