Here's some re;al news for you: the media will jump just about any sensationalist story if given the opportunity they will also make it bigger then it seems so never believe a story they tell you until you've recieved real evidence. Dennis Kaufman knowingly used a photo of his half sister's dead fiance + tried to pass the man off as a victim of Jack Tarrance. His half sister contacted Kris Pickel + told her the truth. Pickel re-interviewed Kaufman confronting him on it. He denied knowing the identity of the man in the photo. But that's a lie because it was Kaufman who asked his sister to send the pic to him, telling her he'd help her find out if the man's death was an accident.

FBI has tested Kaufman's stuff and couldn't exclude Tarrance as the Zodiac. That makes him more of a suspect than Graysmith's darling Arthur Leigh Allen, who was unequivocally excluded as the killer based on a palm print that was on a confirmed zodiac letter. Since palm prints weren't used or talked about as possible evidence back then, so the killer likely didn't think to hide it. Arthur Leigh Allen = not the Zodiac. Jack Tarrance = possibly the Zodiac.

There is a prominent, permanent fold, just over the eye holes. But bickering over the hood, or whether this guy is telling the truth, is a waste of breath. DNA is what we should keep an eye on, and the FBI couldn't eliminate Tarrance. This guy turns over this evidence to the cops for testing, and BOOM, they can't eliminate his step father. You could test hundreds of DNA samples before finding one which can't be eliminated by the partial Zodiac profile. This guy should be taken more seriously.

Well, the hood inaccuracies are just, to me, red flags...and worthy of study. The key fact is that nothing that cannot be reproduced is found like Stine's ID/keys, etc. And I'd say he's being taken very seriously if the FBI got involved. And why so many unanswered questions? What were the pics of? Was it human blood on the knife? Whos? Z took trophies and those are the things we'd find. I'd like to learn more about Lawrence Kane and that Gyke fellow actually.

es.  The DNA test was inconclusive. An interesting twist is that there was evidence of TWO DNA samples on the stamps provided by Dennis. Now the FBI is testing Jack's dentures and a hair sample to get a profile of Jack. No word on the hood, knife or handwriting. What's curious is Jack was arrested therefore printed and his prints are in the database. They could be compared with Z's very quickly. LE has so much confidence in those prints they have cleared 2500 suspects with them.

I'd hate to pick nits here but that's a Graysmith myth. They have a description, a composite, dozens of handwriting samples, DNA, 38 fingerprints and one writer's palm print.

The circumstantial evidence is certainly here: The compsosite sketch matches, Jack Tarrence lived in the area, he had a military backround(navy), the handwriting matches, the square hood/mask with the zodiac symbol, he never worked after his time in the military, letting his wife collect welfare while he did nothing and was always out and about doing god knows what.

Do your own research on the internet, watch Kaufmans raw 15 minute intervew, then decide..
