fuck it i thought this is a media player but in the end it's just another marketing tool.
Damn it this stupid app is no different than itunes, though the ui is sexy, but how this tat is marketed is turning me off. C'mon there are so many cheaper alternatives to this. We don't need this.
I think the usability is at best decent. Tried it on s60v5 and it breaks conventions. You have to use the 3-tap interface instead of the standard onscreen keyboard or handwriting. And the lack of haptic feedback is confusing when you're used to it in every other app. It also shows the password in clear view while typing it.. etc.
If TAT is so awesome (and it is), then why don't all adopt it?? Also, your "concepts" are very nice, but when I found out that you designed the original ugly Android UI, I was very disappointed.
I hope you have an overhaul prepared for when Android gets OpenGL ES 2.0 support...
Too bad you don't like Android - what is it that you find ugly? We wanted to create a style that could suit many (HTC, Google, T-mobile, Samsung, Acer, Lenovo, Dell, ...), look OpenSource-ish and still not bland...
The reason everyone are not using our tech is because most are not as insightful as you are :)
I've been following TAT since years before Android. And when there was a rumor that TAT will be designing Android's UI, I started daydreaming of a shiny, gorgeous and slick UI that would make ppl stare in Awe.
But instead, Android looks childish, clumsy, with ugly boring colors. The icons look like toys, the font is UGLY (unlike webOS), and the background colors are depressing.
I mean these are all in absolute terms, not only relatively when compared with a gorgeous, smooth UI like WebOS.
@TATMobileUI IMHO the 1.x builds of android had a "cutesy", immature, linuxy, unprofessional look about them (this is going solely from pictures and videos. And yes I am fully aware that android has some linux roots just most linux distros don't look professional ). While the 2.x builds (esp 2.2) have a more mature, professional look and icon set. This is from my experience with, first 2.1 and now 2.2 on my Nexus One that I have only had a few months because it's not available in Ireland(Import)

Probably because s60 has a lot of different keyboard solutions.

Very very nice, Ui is fantastic, if only they implemented this in the default music player.

In a nutshell, Android looks like a rushed project that a rookie designed, and not a professional, well thought-through UI.
