@manicmonkey90 I would use a sansamp to get some drive to it as well as an MXR M82 envelope pedal. You might be able to get by just using the drive on the m82, check out some vids of it. I'm not entirely sure, I'm a guitarist with a little bass gear experience haha

Daft Punk didn't release Homework until 96. Check out guys like 808 state. And dubstep came out of the UK as a spin-off to 2-Step Garage.
