I read similar offers on Craigslist all the time and laugh. These idiots post a long list of requirements that include knowing every web technology in the world and then have the nerve to offer to pay $500 usually much less for a site with over 100 pages.
@JohnHGrover I'm in the happy position of not having to accept work from these cheap cocksuckers anymore. They always say they have no money... a guy proposing a web site project said "I'm going to pay you, but I have a really small budget" OMG he's going to pay me haha
Another guy said he's give me $20.00 to redo his piece-of-shit one page site LOL
I think I have this job now. I'm the Network Admin, IT Manager, Database Admin, Desktop Support, Web Developer, Phone Systems and overall hardware expert. My boss puts me on the spot all the time for 40k. He knows nothing at all about computers and gets angry when I can't design a solution to convert Mac language with PC language.
@upinflamezzz My clients think they know about computers; when in fact they don't know the difference between a browser and the OS itself. My brother asked a friend, an IT Systems Administrator, if he knew how to surf the internet (while the friend was sitting in front of his laptop at a Starbucks) LOL
@upinflamezzz People swear at techies, say they hate technology and nerds, then expect you to help them when they have computer problems... you unfortunately have to put up with that. My brother did that to me... I got revenge by not helping him... in fact I will never help any lamer again. They just blame you if something goes wrong again.
Im honestly getting sick from these videos. Theyre all the same, talking about cheap clients and shit and the cons of working in the videogame industry. Isnt there something fresh that comes out of this website?
This is genius, so true. And you have to sit there and listen to all that crap like their requests and expectations are completely reasonable in relation to the tiny budget they are willing to spend. My favourite is with smaller clients when you ask them how much each new job is worth to them, usually several hundred or $1000+, yet they somehow can't bring themselves to pay $100 a month for promotion.
@reqqingcrew Any businessman is going to try to get the lowest price possible... your work is only worth what you can get for it. They want to see if you are stupid enough to do it dirt cheap. If you sell cheap they'll think your work is no good, and that's not the reputation you want.
I don't get it, I have a small business myself and have asked countless web designers the same types of questions. This video just proves my point that web designers can't and won't give me what I want, even though all of this should be easy.
this is for all the clients: if the developer can make what she is wants and expects for so many users to sign up. you dont think the developer would've made it and be a multi milionair?
I always put my link on every design I don't ask permission and I've never been told to remove it. It's not a blumming privelage that should mean money knocked off haha
