No one could explain easily, the meaning of 4:35. Volumes could be written for the interpretation of 4:35 and it is one of the scientific miracles of the Quran. The word idhribohinna itself is one of the scientific miracles of the Quran and the prophet Mohammad attests to that by his explanation of 4:35.

The answer of brother Zakir is not right. I do not blame Mr. Zakir for the Arabic not to be his mother language, but I blame the Arabs who failed miserably to understand the Quran so they went astray and mislead the people. The Arabs misunderstanding of 4:35 is extended to the non-Arabs. Furthermore, the Arabs also misunderstand the explanation of the Prophet Mohammad's explanation of 4:35. If the women know the applicable 17 meanings of Idhribohinna in 4:35 they would gladly accept it.
