my uncle is a witness and he still talks to all of us is he breaking the rules. the only thing he won't do is anything that we do involving church like going to weddings he will go to funerals but when the service starts he will get up and walk outside so he won't here the preaching.

I too was raised a wittness and I agree fully with you ever since my freshman year of high school I made that decission to not be. and 3 months b4 I was to turn 18 my parent(s) kicked me out to live on the street. Thank God however I had good friends from school that took me in but I have no contact with my parent(s) cause to them I am considered dead, and that hurts. Well, I think u turned out great, one thing I can say they turn out some of the most respectful intelligent young people. If the youth were as mild, respectful as these young people. We would be free a youth crimes.The occasions and it has been several encounters, I had I was truly amazed at how great these young ppl are. The Bible's prophecies about our times sustains my faith that God will reward all those earnestly seeking him. Most people just want to slam someone and not learn how God wishes to be worshipped. Otherwise, I tell others about Christ throughout my daily life any time I see an opening or a good opportunity to do so. That is EXACTLY how Jesus preached.

@Jack9th The 'watchtower' as you say are a non profit organisation. They are funded entirely on voluntary donations/ Therefore they cannot 'go out of business.'
@hjames78 how hard is it for people to simply say "i'm not interested?" Is it so much of a pain? It's not like we're trying to sell you electricity, or a new phone plan or internet plan. There is good motive behind their being at your door. Why don't people see that? Do you think it's easy to do what they do? Gosh, it's one of the hardest things ever- going to a complete stranger's door to talk to them about God. Surely that in itself would warrant a little respect.
@xerriasinsherry I was talking to the girl not you. I am not mean to witnesses when they come to the door, I listen to what they say and take there pamphets and you what? I even read them because I tell the people I will and I am a person of my word. One of my best friends is a witness so I have respect for them but..and I'm not saying stop doing what you do but on Sundays I like to sleep late and then get up and go running. It is kind of off putting when someone wakes me up in the morning.

Allow people who are interested to reach out and call themselves, don't knock on people's doors Sunday mornings like that because it is off putting. I will never be a witness or of any religion because I feel they separate people and I am about Oneness. I take from all religions and live my life in a loving and honest manner but I am always open to learn from people. Just don't wake me up Sundays!!!!
Also! 1 more thing, I don't know how early the American JWs get up to go witnessing... but here in Aus we go out at around 9am. We don't drag the kids out. Perhaps you were. Most kids will get a treat as well for their efforts!

@SpecialPioneerSmerf ...thing is, knowledge itself has changed over time. We (humans) no longer believe the earth is flat. We no longer believe (in general) that women do not have souls. JW changes have been clarification changes- adjustments. It's not as though they've made changes to suit current pop culture, so as to appear 'cool' and 'modern.' JW haven't made radical changes to their 'doctrines' rather they've made amendments along the way as interpretations have improved with time.
@SpecialPioneerSmerf ...if a JW didn't agree with a 'doctrine' I hope they would explore as many explanations for /against and try and find a solution they felt comfortable with. No one is going 2 agree 100% to everything 100% of the time- in anything in life. As you said - & you're partially correct- men do guide org. But they should not claim any doctrine as subjective opinion- all teachings should be derived from the bible &it's principles. You sound as though you're not happy with them.

Medicine is proving more and more that taking blood can not only kill you, but also makes healing take much longer than NOT taking . If you want to talk about business, then you should know that blood banks make a killing, literally and figuratively! They charge a fortune to patients

@kysweet56 All medical procedures have risks, all of them, some way higher than bloodtransfusions. And no medical treatment is cheap. Many JW children and followers have died when they could have been saved, regardless. But the fact remains, the WatchTower keeps changing this doctrine, so when some people die, that could have lived before a certain change. 13 TIMES now the doctrine has changed and flipflopped. That's unacceptable! Thus proving your religion is nothing more than a death cult.

Waking up early saturday mornings missing a good breakfast, watching cartoons,sleeping in, walking in extreme heat or cold n snow etc... as a child was traumatizing from 6am-2pm! & not getting paid for it, cause you couldnt keep a percentage of watchtower's or awakes that were sold lol. I apologize too for waking ppl up so early giving them broken promises.

The concept of original sin, is man made. If you leave you can come back it just takes time that's. I'm Not a jehovahs witness but i was raised one, and from what you're saying, you have a lot of things wrong as far as their teachings go. There's a lot of good qualities about me that i give credit to the teachings for. I'm just appreciative to them because it helped mold me into the woman i am now. I chose not to be in the religion because i have other goals right now. Continue doing more research to find the truth.

So, no, I don't just wait at my house to tell people about Christ. But I do tell JWs about Christ when they happen to stop by. Otherwise, I tell others about Christ throughout my daily life any time I see an opening or a good opportunity to do so. That is EXACTLY how Jesus preached.

I can see the sincerity in your words and see your spirit freed to live abundantly. I am a Christian who has dropped the ball to this cult and let my mother in law drag my wife into it. I have not wavered in my relationship with God but the stress on our family is tense. The watchtowerites need to be exposed for the wrong they do and I honor your courage, (a virtue no witness will ever own unless they leave) and your lovely hope and faith you regained is uplifting. There is good motive behind their being at your door. Why don't people see that? Do you think it's easy to do what they do? Gosh, it's one of the hardest things ever- going to a complete stranger's door to talk to them about God. Surely that in itself would warrant a little respect.

I even read them because I tell the people I will and I am a person of my word. One of my best friends is a witness so I have respect for them but..and I'm not saying stop doing what you do but on Sundays I like to sleep late and then get up and go running. It is kind of off putting when someone wakes me up in the morning.

Allow people who are interested to reach out and call themselves, don't knock on people's doors Sunday mornings like that because it is off putting. I will never be a witness or of any religion because I feel they separate people and I am about Oneness. I take from all religions and live my life in a loving and honest manner but I am always open to learn from people. Just don't wake me up Sundays!!!!

Also! 1 more thing, I don't know how early the American JWs get up to go witnessing... but here in Aus we go out at around 9am. We don't drag the kids out. Perhaps you were. Most kids will get a treat as well for their efforts!

@SpecialPioneerSmerf ...thing is, knowledge itself has changed over time. We (humans) no longer believe the earth is flat. We no longer believe (in general) that women do not have souls. JW changes have been clarification changes- adjustments. It's not as though they've made changes to suit current pop culture, so as to appear 'cool' and 'modern.' JW haven't made radical changes to their 'doctrines' rather they've made amendments along the way as interpretations have improved with time.

No one is going 2 agree 100% to everything 100% of the time- in anything in life. As you said - & you're partially correct- men do guide org. But they should not claim any doctrine as subjective opinion- all teachings should be derived from the bible &it's principles. You sound as though you're not happy with them.

Medicine is proving more and more that taking blood can not only kill you, but also makes healing take much longer than NOT taking . If you want to talk about business, then you should know that blood banks make a killing, literally and figuratively! They charge a fortune to patients

Many JW children and followers have died when they could have been saved, regardless. But the fact remains, the WatchTower keeps changing this doctrine, so when some people die, that could have lived before a certain change. 13 TIMES now the doctrine has changed and flipflopped. That's unacceptable! Thus proving your religion is nothing more than a death cult.

Also we stopped asking for contributions about 10 yrs ago- entire org is run on our own voluntary contributions. We are not an enterprise.

Saturday's simply are convenient for most.

Waking up early saturday mornings missing a good breakfast, watching cartoons,sleeping in, walking in extreme heat or cold n snow etc... as a child was traumatizing from 6am-2pm! & not getting paid for it, cause you couldnt keep a percentage of watchtower's or awakes that were sold lol. I apologize too for waking ppl up so early giving them broken promises.

God Bless you for having the courage to post this video. My wife's side of the family are witnesses. In fact, we have a disfellowshipped member living with us who is working his way back in. I've been in sales for over 20 years. I use scripts, I am prepared to overcome objections, I know how to move the sale along to a positive conclusion. Just like witnessing. Thank god you escaped. Just because you believe that you are 'not of the world' does not set you apart from it, but it is where you part company with the vast majority of people who care about what is really true. She was apologizing for recruiting people into a group that she now recognizes as a cult. I was also a JW and understand her remorse.

@mmcsky I can't accept your position on of your arguments with regard to sin, morality and organised religion because your founding assumption, that God actually exists, is one that I don't recognise. The concept of original sin, is man made. To suggest that a new born baby is a sinner because of some fairy story, and that this baby is, just by the virtue of being born, a sinner that needs 'redemption' is ridiculous.
