As much as I love Celine's magnificient voice ... she does absolutely nothing for this song. Elvis brings to it a much needed sense of lamentation and despair to this great song, which Celine totally lacks. Elvis sings it with a feeling that moves you.

I've heard the original one, and you're right! Elvis moves me. He sings the song in a way that provoques a huge emotional feedback from me. But I think Celine brings something else. Like a lovely touch of beauty to the song. An other dimension to the song that I like. But yeah, Elvis does bring a HUGE emotion that she doesn't.

He was a soloist therefore no one could or can match him.And Celine is way better the Shania, no contest. She can sing alot more styles, then Shania languages and better range

actually... i think Shania is great, but i prefer Celine, and I beg to differ, Celine is MUCHHHH bigger then Shania Twain.. Celine is pop, and shania is country, and sometimes pop, but celine is the best selling female artist in the world... she has sold more then three times more then Shania Twain..
