  • Wow, this is really good!! My horse is an LBI too, we just started, and she is already happy with the "new me" :) Very nice video!

  • OMG I want ur horse!!! I wish my horse, cloud, could be like ur cloud!!

  • how did u get him to play tag

  • @PoleBender11 That wasn't really "tag" as in the game.. it was more of a "hide the hiney" -- he was ignoring me, so I snuck up and "tagged" him, which got his attention back on me.

  • awesome!

  • this is amazing , im going to start pareeli with my horse.you make it look easy, bt i bet it isnt!

  • WOW!!

My jaw is on the floor! How long did it take you guys to learn all of this?!! I am in the process of buying a fearful, highstrung horse and really need to do some parellie with her, I dream of her someday being this CALM !

  • this is absolutely lovely!!!

  • i am so glad that there are people who take the time to understand there horse as you have.....it makes me cry with joy that im not the only one....keep up the good work!!!

  • that is so good. how did u get her to lay down on cue.i wish my pony will do that. can u give me some advice

  • WOW what level is this?

    Whats his horseanality?

    This looks relly good :)

I do parelli with some of my ponies but not at this level you to match each other you look great together you bareback riding will come on you should of seen me the first time i rode bare back my mum had quite a giggle fit!

  • We're L3/4 online, L3 liberty and L2/3 riding.

    Cloud's a LBI.

    Thank you.

Parelli can be a lot of fun - I'm glad you like it! And bareback does get easier with practice. There's a vid I did later that had more BB riding after I improved. It's fun -- esp. in the winter when it's freezing!!

  • Me and my pony is on level one but when we first started (in 2006) we didnt know there were levels! I am quite good at BB riding now and i go jump on my pony in the field and we go for a little canter and she dosnt mind shes a LBI/E.

  • kl i do a bit of parelli

  • omg! thats what i need to work on with horse i am working with!

  • wow that was really amazing! isnt it cool all the fun things parelli allows us to do! i cant wait till me and simba are at that level! i am so happy with parelli though! its jus so fun! good to see the bloopers though so i know its not just simba who goofs around sometimes! lol xxx

  • absolutely beautiful relationship and communication.

it's possible that you're having trouble at the trot because of how bracey his back and hq are- no shock absorption, and the trot is very fast. i had this on my gelding and i did lots of trot-a-couple-steps and walk (body only) and pushing his ribcage around to get him thinking 'soft trot'.

  • Thanks for the compliments. I agree that he is bracy and uncoordinated but most of my problems as far as riding goes were from inexperience; I had only trotted bareback about 3 times prior to this film. My seat is much improved in the second video, although you are correct to say that his body carrage is not improved. I'm sort of out on my own here and haven't got many people to help me get him past that. I appreciate both the suggestions and the comment! =)

  • wow its just amazing unbeleveable how much you two trust each other your my idol i want to be just like you and your horse

  • I always Love watching you two play..

  • thanks for that helpful advice

  • u guys are amazing. if u dont mind me asking im trying to teach my horse sonny to lay down since he already knows how to bow. back. spin and trot behind me but im not asking for the right cues to match his instincts so if u dont mind me asking howd u teach him to lay down

  • I found an article online from Natural Horse Supply and followed it to the letter.

The most important element in teaching the lay-down is TIME. Go very slowly. It is extremely hard for horses to lay down in front of a predator - on command. It can be done, but it mustn't be rushed.

I spent 10 sessions to teach the bow, 4 to get to my first vid, 20 to get to my second and another 20 to get to this one. The result is great - but slow and right is the key!

  • wonderful play session! You guys look great!

  • As always, fantastic to watch. you have to admit, Parelli, done well, its a beautiful thing to watch :)
