No, with the 12m diameter rotor it was plagued with problems, especially in the pitch control. Afterwards, it was reduced to 8.8m and fixed pitch, then it worked much better. More on those problems also on the other parts, stay tuned :)
great project. I do build small wind turbines myself an I am impressed by the size of this one. I cannot understand finnish so maybe you did mention that but I feel that the generator is way undersized for that machine an I think that you can get a lot more out of it if you use a bigger generator unit. I build those myself, have a look at my videos to see what I mean :-)
Can you maybe write something on your blade pitch control?
There in an english translation available in the form of subtitles, you can enable it if you click the CC button in the bottom.
The car alternators you see in the back are just for generating auxiliary power. The other is used to maintain the battery for the controls, the other supplies field current to the main generator. The main generator was(is during the filming of this video) a 33kW 900rpm wound field induction motor, with a modified field winding.
Hi, There are 12 more parts to this video, but they're not yet public, as they're missing the english captions. I'll make them public once i've finished creating the subs.

The pitch control is explained with good detail in the other parts, that I will also make public as soon as I get the translations done.
