Hey Ateyya, I am trying to grow my hair out and I was thinking about a sew-in, What advise can you give me about a sew in. Does sew-ins grow your hair or whats your opinion on a sew-in. I am only going to keep it in for 8wks?

i think we should be able to wear our hair whatever the fuck way we want to. white women don't get abused for dyeing, cutting, clipping, straghtening, perming their hair so why should we? Well I brought this hair is is TRASH>... It shed so much I am surprise it is weave still on the track!!!! It is so tangled you cannot even comb through the back and i only had it in for 3 weeks yes 3 weeks!!! I do not recommend Janet Alco Remy Hair!!!

@ByFaith2k10 that's a very ignorant comment, you don't have to be bald headed to wear weave....some people wear weave for length. some people with long hair wear weave to get a short hair look to keep from cutting their hair.....get that perception out of your head weave is for everybody with all types of hair.
@ByFaith2k10 I agree. Ateeya's Real hair looks great. But not everyone who has a weave dislikes their hair. Actually, I think her hair looks that good because of the weave. Having a weave reduces stress and keeps hair from heat and daily elements which can cause AA hair to break, become dull and lifeless.

kenra products are great love them. the moisturizing shampoo and conditioner goes great with rusk smoother leave in. GREAT combo and I have very healthy hair.
How long do you keep your hair in? How long should you keep braids in once its braided? Is it normal for lots of hair shedding to occur once taking braids out? I Love it Ateyaa been following you for a minute congrats on all your success....s/n for some not all, but some. Hair length is determined by DNA NOT hair products...hair products can help maintain health, shine, and/or moisture, but it does NOT determine length..
What advice do you have for those of us who wants a full weave buy want to exercise 4-6 times a week. How do I deal with the sweat and the imaginable itch?

Can we all just agree to disagree? I'm convinced that she may just want her hair to stay this length. Her hair is obviously super healthy. At the end of the day it is HER hair. Good job Ateyaa, your natural hair is beautiful. I love the lenght. As a matter of fact, that's the lenght I wear mine so I keep it cut at that lenght. Question, do you find it hard to keep it healthy at that lenght??? BTW- I live in Houston and is seriously thinking about stopping by Buttons shop on my way to Louisiana...gotta love I-10.

@skasha99 The solution... dont where a weave!! LOL. I work out a lot too... and i wouldnt DARE where a sweaty, itchy, nasty weave! I had to come out of wearing weaves... and trust me I USED TO BE A WEEEAVE QUEEN! But now I just rock my fabulous, healthy natural (relaxed) hair.

I Love it Ateyaa been following you for a minute congrats on all your success....s/n for some not all, but some. Hair length is determined by DNA NOT hair products...hair products can help maintain health, shine, and/or moisture, but it does NOT determine length..

Can we all just agree to disagree? I'm convinced that she may just want her hair to stay this length. Her hair is obviously super healthy. At the end of the day it is HER hair. Lastly I wish some people would stop calling others haters, when someone disagrees with something its not hating. Its called a "personal opinion" for a reason.
