  • Another good thing for goldfish for food is homemade gel food. I have a ranchu that had really bad swim bladder problems, began soaking my flakes so that they would automatically sink and feeding him peas twice a week and it helped but not as much as I wanted to. For the last 6 weeks I've been feeding my goldfish homemade gel food and the ranchu doesn't have swim bladder problems anymore!

  • You will kill your fish oneday! No key tips, you do take care if you're fish but little true knowledge of what you're doing. Adding conditioner after adding water, 50% water change, dumping of water, completly cleaning all ornaments, ALL NO Nos

  • I have that same thermometer

  • ok no top comment nows my chance....um....HI....

  • 2 min still waiting for the water change. . . .

  • If left alone, wont a fish usually stay upside down? Almost as if it is hypnotized?

  • Yer cute. So are your fish. You take awesome care of them. I just recently got a regular fantail goldfish from a carnival and he's still kickin' it. Been about a month since I got him. I do water changes when he starts to gulp for air at the surface. Kudos!

  • You take very good care of your fish! Mine used to float upside down until I started feeding them Omega One sinking pellets. You can get it at Petsmart.

  • I like your gold fish ! just please ease down on putting water in AHAHAHAHAHA

  • be careful when doing the water changes because at 9:31 the goldfish is being stressed out by the the pouring of the water not that i want to boss you around, just sayin to be cautious with the pouring of the water and i say the tank looks nice

  • my comet floated to top sometimes. I fed him peas and now hes good!

  • cause you got the bubles on FULL! BLAST DUH

  • do a 20% -30% water change every 1-2weeks instead of 50%, 50% is too much and will shock and stress the fish and may cause death or early death in the fish. and dont hose down your fish with the water this will also stress them and might cause scratches that can give them illnesses like ich. one more thing add the proper amount of aquarium salt to your aquarium which will prevent illnesses and will keep thier slime coats healthy hope this helped

  • cool tank love the gravel i have it too i would recommend adding a little more gravel though it helps with bacterial growth. you do not need the air pump because the aquaclear filter creates water agitation and oxygenates the water. also you do not need the heater goldfish like cold to warm water. and heaters use lots of electricity/ yours is probably a 100watt and your aquaclear 70 uses 6 watts/ a ton less

  • Thats a cool background paper. Ive been looking for something like that

  • do you feed them sinking pellets? your suppose too gold fish can easily catch swim bladder if fed floating food

  • @Cichlidlover22 no, where do i get sinking pellets?

  • @Cichlidlover22 most aquarium store...your black moor is suffering from swim bladder common in gold fish......for now feed them every other day then feed them peas....it will cure...once fully cured feed them sinking pellets

  • @Cichlidlover22 hey so i went to the store and bought some sinking pellets and hey it works!! The fish act different when i feed them it! Thanks!

  • @aquariumguy2010 your welcome bro! : )

  • @aquariumguy2010 no, i think you have too much air in your tank. when your fish eat they are sucking in too much oxygen in their stomachs, that is what causes swim bladder. if i were you i would take out some air stones and turn the air pump to medium. i know because i used to put in so many air stones, because bubbles look so cool. and i would always get swim bladder in my tank.
