for some reason this song reminds me of organ harvesting..... like how they don't actually wait until you're dead to remove your organs.... the first lyric makes me visualize a doctor telling a loved one "he's not coming back"..... no sense in letting it go to waste.... of all of radiohead's catalogue, this song can genuinely disturb me.... but god it's fucking brilliant

Jonny Greenwood is a musical genius, his ability to transform a live performance of any track no matter what his instrument is unparallelled given the ensemble nature of Radiohead imo.
Lull is a good one from the OKC days, but being the Kid A/mnesiac fan that I am, I much prefer Transatlantic Drawl and Kinetic (pretty much anything from '8 tracks from amnesiac').
Transatlantic Drawl i do love, so glad you mentioned it cos i've realised i havent got it on my ipod for sum reason....i like the way you have set up the list. I've been quite shocked at how many fans put Kid A at no1, love it.

the lyrics immediately evoke images of starvation, death and cannibalism. on another level, i think he's talking about how life sometimes leads us into hurting and using each other. cannibalism represents a kind of desecration of the corpse, which is why it is taboo. ironically, the desecrated bodies are usually friends in life. similarly, oftentimes we end up hurting those we love the most and are closest to because of the harshness of the world we live in.
I tend to think this song shares a lot with 'in limbo'. they both seem to be about having some pretty awful times on a ship. being lost at sea and cannibalizing.
excellent choice! If I had to pick only one, probably this one... but make sure your not to selective with your radiohead because all their stuff's great!
i was say that pablo honey now is a pretty signifigent album because it shows how radiohead have grown and matured as a band if you compare it to the modern albums.

I don't think it's really about cannibalism. The lyrics are to straightforward if it's about that.
It about cannibalism in a more figurative sense.
