No offense, but I think Keith, while he may be a talented instrumentalist, I think he's a self-righteous prick. He acts like he's a God because he can play rhythm on a 7 string guitar. Now he's making a MECHANICAL death metal band. Mechanical in the worst way of imagining.
hey im sorry if i said anything someone didnt like.
i really respect classical music. i know it's technically very well made and i know that metal wouldnt be like it is now without clasiccal music, but the pieces we have to learn are just really boring. they made a bad choice of songs.
yes we're learning the 4 seasons. actually i gotta admit it is a good piece of music. its happy and has got a lot of melody. but the other things we learn are (in my taste) bad or even sometimes horrible to listen to like brittens war requiem or prokofiev or kopachinskaja...
Some of the chillist and best musicians I've ever had the honour of watching and having fun with...ever... Go see this tune live. It's even sicker watching the musicianship as it happens!
Hats of to Angel, Jay, Jake and Bill! So glad we're friends. I learn so much from all of you!
@Angryification Just about every metal player I know has an RG and plays out of a line six and or/ has EMG's. The reason people like Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, or any other guitar player of your choice is legendary is because they were different and they stood out. Now you could argue that it's their playing style, but look at how much some of us as guitar players try so hard to figure out what Eddie used on the first album and we will still never know.
@TheReaper0218 Plays out of a Line 6. I've never heard of anyone [pro or just someone I know] who uses Line 6 amps. Also, Hendrix and EVH stood because of the way they pushed rock music forwards, not because of their gear choices [yet so many people copy them]. I do, however, agree with the EMGs bit. EMGs suck.
@TheReaper0218 how does playing an RG make you a tool? they are good sounding guitars with great quality regardless of the prices which for guitars as high quality is pretty low i must say.
That was amazing. Just found out about him a few minutes ago from this song being featured on the video located on the Ibanez RG Premium website. Killswitch Engage is definitaly the first thing I thought of when I heard it and I can hear some Steve Vai influence as well. I will definitely check out more of his work and I hope he reaches great heights of success in the future! Very well done.
@MetaLeague Make sure you buy both their EP's. Speed of Dark, and Universal Language.! Angel really is a great musician. I was blown away by his stuff when i first heard him.
@JgHaverty Dude absolutely. You could say you here just as much Malmsteen as any other, I think the Steve Vai part is just a name drop. I don't think listening to parts of his solos and trying to play fast riffs is enough, the progression of the songs just aren't Vai-esque. Very awesome tho, very metalcore/deathcore. The more I think about it, I agree, way more Dream Theatre sound than anything.
I found out about this awesome guy because of my awesome subscriptions

Most of their stuff is straight tuned, 7 string BEADGBE. I believe this one is A#/Bb, though. 90% sure.

@TheReaper0218 And why do you think that? If you're going to say something like that, at least say why.
