Such a beautiful song. I would have liked it better if Teddy hadn't done his trademark screaming in the end of this song. Just my opinion. This song should not have been turned into a Bedroom Song, which is what the screaming did with it. Listen to Teddy sing This Gift of Life. A song filled with solitude. I am not hating on Teddy, but I noticed I usually turn this song off near the end with the yelling.

He was the one who was able to articulate all the things that we wanted to say to our lovers but were not able to. it was his gift...it wasnt something that he learned or was taught. The songwriting was great...and he didnt even write most of his songs, but a lyric aint worth a damn if the voice singing it, cant hook the listener immediately...and Teddy was a master at that. I was sorry to see him go, but I know he's somewhere in the universe, singing...we just wont see him in this world again.

I was just riding in my car and this song came on and it reminded me of a love lost. I believe if I had sent this song to the other party at the time it would have changed things. Teddy knew how to sing a song that made relationships real. We will miss this brother. Loved him! We will pray for his loved ones.
