Any tips on getting a free upgrade from Lowest Economy Class fare on Q class , to business class free of charge from LHR -HKG CX252 or CX256 dec 16th 2011 to 2nd Jan 2012 CX255 ? never had any free upgrades on cathay pacific and other airlines .

@eddiewong14 Remember ask for the best seat in economy don't be greedy and ask for Business...if they don't put you in business you are bound to get a seat with extra legroom in economy...other than that you but a full fare economy ticket airlines sometimes upgrade then....Good Luck.

@cathaypacificisbad i work at airlines, we can't open or search anyone's baggage. Once the baggage was send down to the bell, it will go to the TSA for security check and scan, and than put on the cart n load at ramp to the aricract. if anyone stole your camera, it should be the TSA or baggage security handler at the ramp. however, no individual staff can open or take the bag by himself once u check in. And American Airline sucks, same as United Airline, Virgin America is the best

2 of my friends that I know of got upgraded on Cathay HKG-JFK and that's like a 17hr flight! So very lucky indeed.

I went on Cathay pacific A340-300 for 14 hours, Vancouver-Hong Kong last month !

Ground power unit was down. It was very hot inside the plane.

How do you like the new 777ER?

The entertaiment was great.But the seat is not as comfortable as the old one's
