Because its a fairytale. Its fiction. How you define fairytale and fiction is of course relative but to atheist its not. I do not know what mystery you are referencing to, but I can say for a fact that most athiests have more clue than religious people.
It really depends how religious they are. I would say a pilot knows more about piloting than a normal passenger, this applies to at least the more strong athiests. I am not absolute in my stance.
Science does not know all, yet. We know a lot.

Its not fiction? These theories arent just theories. And yes, I do. Knowledge is knowledge, its at simple as that. Of course I am atheistic but I dont deny that there might be a god, I just dont believe in any. Its unlikely, in my opinion.
The rules I believe in is as simple as dont jump from a bridge etc, because its logical. The bible is a fairy tale. I dont rule out the existence of Santa Claus or Green Lantern, but its unlikely they exist. And we should treat them as they dont exist.

Do you even read my replies? Several days ago I explained this to you. The people of Jerusalem that may or may not have followed Jesus had little to no knowledge of the world and as such were easily manipulated by wild stories and parlor tricks.
