I got the SpecialExtendedEdition for all 3 movies and watched the long making-of for each. And I am quite sure that these are the movies with the most bonding crew ever. I really like making-ofs but usually they are just boring - not here, maybe it´s because they were together quite the time, it really looks like they got good friends alltogether and had a good time - cast AND crew.

I hope they do a similar docu with the hobbit movie.

I've done work with a lot of professional and amateur actors down here in Florida (and gotten to be an extra in Renee), and the ones who try to act all serious and tight-assed all the time are the ones who tend to do the worst. A lot of it is about bonding and being able to work together, not to mention all of us being more than a little nuts.

Lots of actors, especially the really great ones, participate in both theatre, film and television. Each medium requires a different approach regarding technique; theatre obviously requires the ability to act in long, continuous blocks of time with all the lines learned before-hand, while cinema is usually more choppy and the actors learn their lines as they film each scene. Tv is somewhat of a hybrid. There isn't as great a divide as you imply.
