Yes, I think the music of the new series is too dramatized (as is the actual episodes) and orchestral. I much prefer the morbid, synthesized music of the classic era.

@kamelion7 No, It's common amoungst Fans to admit that Peter's Stories were dogged from day one due to JNT's Fanatic Control over everything. He allowed NO freedom for Peter to encorporate any of the Previous Drs' charateristcs, The Costume wasn't his choice, the bloody Celery, The Stories wern't as good as the Previous Era's coz of JNT's Control Freak attitude, The Effects were the Worst, he had Tegan & Adric.. It's not BLX m8. It happened to Colin & Sylv too. JNT Killed the show Slowly.

@therealKINDLE Did Davison not impersonate 3 of his predecessors in 'Castrovalva'? Wasn't Colin Baker told to be irascible like Hartnell? JNT didn't stifle anything, they played it how they wished. Davisons costume was brilliant (Sod the celery) but I concede colins was awful. The effects were worse in the 80s?!!! Compare 'Trial' effects to the Skarasen in Zygons! After season 24 it went shit but all that came before was wonderful. The late 70s were dire and laughable - so many duds

@kamelion7 I have inside info m8. It's who you know! But yeh, the Late 70's were appaling. I have always said that the Black & Whites were the Best of Dr Who in terms of effects. See, the Effects were in their experimental stage back then. So they were State of the Art. But I STILL think that the FX NOW are the Worst. You KNOW that they are Fake.. CGI. Even a Bad Suit is Much more fun to look at than just CGI. Someone had to Build it. Creatively. You could Touch it, unlike the XBOX360 Scenes!

The TARDIS goes nowhere nut London, the companions sex lives are brought into it and as for the bisexual Jack.... Every season has Daleks in - like anyone cares and whats more they are all voiced by the talentless arse licker Nick Briggs who is now (apparently) a sort of celebrity!!! Now that IS bollocks. I'd rather watch 'Time and the fucking Rani than any of the new over sentimental crap

Dr Who has effected so many Musicians all around the world to such an extent thats it's become something of a cult now! The new crap has just a few pieces of Insipid Orchestral parts to represent each trope in every story: Sad, Happy, Action Sequence, etc. But the Classics were Experimental & Pioneered Techniques, Sculpted Sounds, & not only Set but Pushed the Boundaries. They were the Alchemists of Sound

The atmospheric incidentals of Howell, Glynn, Limb et al were veritable masterpieces compared to the new shit. And if I hear that wailing bitch who seems to strike up (Bad Wolf melody I think) every time your supposed to feel sad I may just kill myself.

And to see her Theme Discected, & Pasted over Fool Golds Dull Orchestral Wank was Heart Rending. His New theme is Pony aswel! It uses off the shelf Synth Presets to attain the Haunt & the Transparent Bass! Nothing but Brass overkill & that fucking Tremelo Flute! It's KILLED the Ethereal & Errie Ethos

Someone should really do something about Doctor Who. Scrap: The Music CGI Teenage Doctors Brummy Assisstants Dalek Voices The Dalek voices should be done by someone else, NOt the egotistical Nick 'Twat' Briggs. Synthezised music should be brought back Grey Daleks rather then bronzed bollocks They could do with a few more stright male assisstants. The last level headed GOOD male assisstant was Harry in the Tom Baker era. Even a rubber suit looks more realistic then the cgi stuff
