  • what runway

  • I love CO's livery on the 757, it looks fantastic.

  • @crunkenergy93

....soon to be United's. Soooo happy that they're keeping the Continental livery!!

  • @crunkenergy93 ?? It looks like the design on a software box. Well when United and Continental merge, they are keeping this design, so you should be happy.

  • I love the boeing 757's to bad they are out of production

  • @SuperUnitedairlines Don't you think they didn't give the 757 a good run

  • this video should be titled 757 cruising down the runway. didnt get to see it rotate.

  • @hahayoullneverknow This tree at the end of the video is the demise of many planespotters at Dublin which is already hard to spot at.

  • @ImmortalSynn exactly there's flights from ewr to sju(san juan, Puerto rico on the 738, 739,752 and maybe even 767's

  • Continental 757-200 Good one.....

  • @MiniTruckin05 it's A320 engines?

  • This is a Boeing 757-200 fitted with Aviation Partners Boeing winglets for better performance. That´s why this aircraft can make long haul flights.

  • There's something I like about the 757 but I don't know what it is. Damn.

  • Which is the diferrent between a 737 and a 757, and also which use for transalatic the 757-200 or 757-300

  • Theres a large difference between the 737 and 757, mainly the 757 is much, much larger. And I do believe transatlantic use the 200 model, but not sure, maybe check their site to see if they have a 'fleet' page. :)

  • Thats not a 757 thats a 737

  • That aircraft is a Boeing 757-200.

  • really? my bad i thought it was a 737 cuz i recently went on a 757 and the wings dont have the flaps on the end, the ones sticking up but idk i might have been on a 757-300 or sumtin

  • no its not its a frickin 757-200 idiot how could a 737 do a 7 or 8 hour flight from ireland to usa and i know this because this is my local airport god pull your head out of your ass

  • Dude calm down i was just saying and im probably long and by the way how do u know its going on a 7 or 8 hour flight it could be going shorter dum fuck

  • becuase i know for a fact that this is going to Newark and thats a 7 or 8 hour flight

  • @PB4113R he probably looked it up on tele text lmaoo

  • 737 able to fly transatlantic journeys. for example the boeing 737-900ER can do. or, bad example bet so what, the boeing business jets all are 737 and have a range of more than 10.000km

  • No one's flown a 737-900ER transatlantically in commercial service, and I doubt anyone ever will.

737-700 can do it, from Canada and New England, but again, no one does that.

The 737BBJ, BBJ2, and 737-700ER can do transAtlantic crossings, and PrivatAir operates them into Houston and NYC (Newark) all the time.

  • I Flew On A Delta AirLines 747 From Dublin To New York Beast Flight

  • muy bueno ¡¡¡¡

  • i flew on a us airways last year 757 and it was fine forward and back

  • heh thanks for comment

  • il b on it 22 june

  • june 30th ill be on that plane 9am

  • Great footage. Is this one of the 757s that make trans-Atlantic flights?

  • yea, the FAA makes it mandatory for trans-atlantic 757's to have winglets because to travel trans-atlantic really stretches the range of the 757.

  • i wouldnt be comfortable croosing the pond on a 757 thats for sure

  • same. i would choose a 767 fer sure

  • it'd only be out of your own ignorance, and no referendum on safety or anything.

    1) the 707 was crossing the ocean two decades before the first 757 ever did, and it has essentially the same fuselage and dimensions.

    2) in more than 25years of ETOPS operation, there's never been a life loss to an ETOPS-related problem in transoceanic twinjet flights. EVER.

In other words, learn facts-- they trump fear.

  • immotal sin wot dis shit u says? why u say dis shit fer tru? u wan dis shit ocur n u fucking invok da hatwrath n da hellfire o u wan dis ocur fer tru? fuck u asshole u wan dem nigger fagots fuck u family in da eyebal o som shit? u wan dis ocur fer tru one tim two tim lik lik praise praise fuck u suck mi dick halal

  • Actually that's not the case, 757s have been operating transatlantic flights since the 1980s without winglets and airlines continue to operate the aircraft transatlantic without winglets today. Winglets improve fuel efficiency, but they are not mandatory at all.

  • 757s used to operate transatlantic flights years before the 767 was built, and it doesn't stretch the range at all. Also, you don't even need a special 757 with winglets to make the flight. Many people think that due to the 757 being a single aisle, narrow body aircraft it can't do long range routes, but it can with ease.

  • That would be sliiiiightly impossible, considering that the 767 first flew the year before the first 757 was built. LOL

  • That's complete bullshit.

757s can and have crossed the Atlantic for nearly 20years before they were certified for winglets, and there is absolutely no FAA mandate for them to be equipped with such to cross the ocean. Get real.

  • alright now dont get all defensive here bud.

    take a chill pill

  • @ImmortalSynn you're quite right they have been crossing the Atlantic for some time but the winglet Mod has increased their range a little

  • What are winglets for?

  • Winglets diminish the effect of "induced drag", thus allowing the aircraft to burn less fuel, carry more weight, fly a longer distance, and/or utilize less runway length to get airborne.... all of which mean $ to the airline.

  • Great job Love this 757 with winglets. It looks like a totaly new plane

  • Great video. I always wished Air Canada (or the former Canadian Airlines) had added the 757 to their fleets. I believe only Canada 3000, Skyservice, and the now defunct Harmony Airways (all charters) were the only Canadian airlines to have the 757.

  • 12 December:)

  • ive flown with continental to newark airport in new jersey, very very classsy to fly with!

  • what was the date of that flight, i might have been on that one

  • nice camera at the end ;)
