  • this is a wheelen siren with a powercall chip in it. not real power call.

  • r u going to radio us responding?!

  • I freaking hate power calls!!!!arrr

  • if we did this in NZ, video'd a response, with out permission and not for a reason, you would be sacked, like that, and what weird sirens, i perfer the wail, yelp, hi-lo its a "Code 3" brand

  • my partner would SHOOT me if i ran our siren the way they are.

  • crezy man the EMS should be not like this

  • i love q

  • he was flyin

  • I've never heard a power call. We have whelen sirens.

  • that's not a good place for a libraray...

  • I hate hi-los, and im from England (where theyre used alot lol)

  • never heard a siren like this one b4. in my town they have the code 3.

  • So, this is a full ambulance response, where they take the whole ambulance with them. LOL

  • People bitch about sirens, until you're the one that called 911, then it's music to your ears.

  • i fancy phaser

  • Comment removed

  • i perfer yelp and hyper yelp!

  • nice run

  • the drive is sexy

  • boring.. listen to this

St John Ambulance Perth on Priority 1

  • I love high low and i adore the powercall.... someone tell me why its so bad lol

  • thats the worst siren I've ever heard.

  • cool...i love paramedics:X

  • Wait a minute i'm lost, two ambulances and what looks like a rescue engine for what exactly? I'm not trying to be a smart ass i just seriously see nothing.

  • @IsurvivedAntiochCA You're right, you are lost. Open your eyes,, theres a friggin car halfway in a ditch.

  • @roflniceone What that car by the billboard? that's it?

  • jesus christ guys its like all you ever do is come on these videos and talk about the sirens, yes, that siren isn't a whelen, ok GREAT. Lets talk about something else other than how stupid you think the siren sounds. Nice video though, thanks for uploading ^^

  • What a horrible siren. Heard of Whelen? Fucking buy from them. Now.

  • the driver is HOT

  • that siren is like a little boy getting it in the ass and his voice goes higher with every penetration. OWWW OW OW OW OWW.

  • @creamyfilling102 ROFLMAO

  • dude the driver looks like he just hit puberty... lol

  • I like the siren

  • Horrible siren! But nice response otherwise.

  • Delma, what type of siren is that? u know in the beginning, sorta like yelp? but not the 2 tone, please let me know.

  • I love powercalls

  • sounds like a toys siren hooked up to an amplifier.

  • that siren is fucking annoying

  • I WANT TO FUCK THE SIRENS BLAST HOLE I LOVE IT

  • A bit overload on the Power Call i would say ...

  • i thought ambulances have better sirens!

  • Im sorry but power calls only sound good when you have a Q to balance it out

  • I dont like their sirens ours sounds more penetrating

  • It is a diffence between using the siren to alert other drivers and tormenting them haha

  • This truck looks like it has a MAN Axle with planetary Gears.

  • Everyone who sets in front of a computer and watches a powercall respnse through the whole video then posts powercalls suck obviously didn't watch the video. They clear traffic and that's all that matters.

  • Relaz maybe he is a new-be who drive like you!

  • Lolz

  • forgive my lack of carelessness of the spelling on that comment!

  • you may think powercall sucks but its one of the most recognizable pitch ranges. Utilizing the left lane is fine as long as you know what your doing. They were INTENTIONALLY blocking traffic. Im not sure what the state laws are there, but here in NY, if you run just lights and no siren, you are automatically at fault in an accident. If there are lights, there must be a siren.

  • Loco is right.

Why siren when no one in your way?

But nice that you went silent when you did!

    Powercall is POS.

Wail is detected by the human ear better and heard farther ahead. (Lower frequencies are less attenuated in air than higher frequencies.

Most of Powercall cycle is higher frequency. Up and down sweep is too fast.)

Park behind the patrol car in lefturn lane to not impede traffic.

  • what kind of siren is that?

    its amazinggg!!

  • I love the sirens.

  • the guy is cute!!!

  • That siren sucks!

  • Almost sounded like an old British two-tone in the background...

  • im a fan of powercalls but that one sounds off

  • me too, it's almost like it's dual siren, and the second one is making a slight echo to the first.

  • im not a huge fan of the power calls

  • @ENG232INE what is a power call

  • @ENG232INE Powercalls are one of the best sirens to get someones attention though

  • @fireheadquarters

Id disagree to that, but then, powercalls arnt used here.

However, 2tone Airhorns (or martinshorns) are used in the USA aswell as the UK and theyre brilliant, very loud depending on whats using them!

youtube this....Hi-Lo Air Horns and Siren on Firetruck: Edinburgh, Scotland

  • @ENG232INE especially not on an ambulance... ew

  • @ENG232INE It typically sounds better when there's a Federal Q along with it.

  • What is that two tone beeping in the beginning of the video?

  • power call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • dude you need a new siren on that thing

  • Wow that ambulance needs a new siren...

  • powercalls just sound awful man....ugh

  • The siren sounds like an ice cream truck on steroids.

  • hahaha

  • I don't like your siren combo : / I would have thought I was watching a German EMS response

  • Frankly I think a European hi-low sounds better than that.

  • @1nm1 It's not a hi-lo, it's a powercall yeeeaaaa!!!!

  • @1nm1 Yeah if you're gay.

  • The way you combined the Powercall and the hi-lo sounds very European; I like it. It seems like it clears traffic very well.

  • haha was the gold taurus convention in town at the beginning?

  • whelen talon is a light they make...that is a powercall siren

  • omg the siren...

  • nice Whelen Talon sirens if im right :D really loud haha

  • I think thats a powercall siren

  • I think your right about that

  • it was CVA not CBA. Cerebrovascular Accident. Stroke

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • This has nothing to do with the video but at the end. The dispatcher sends a unit to a possible CBA. What's that?

  • possible CVA*, cerebrovascular accident (stroke)

  • Oh. Thank.

  • Well you've obviously got some medical training :p

  • Nice hi-lo! But awful powercall.

  • Where was the hilo?

  • Can't you hear it? It's not loud though.

  • You all bitch more than my wife

  • seriously go fuck yourself, even though they are turning right there are still other cars around and you kinda need them to stop so keep the siren on. also, did you see that car in the right lane when he made the turn? hmm i did and you cant run the cars over. also they were out of the way.

  • There was no need to stop/impede the traffic ahead when he was turning right.

He was not even close to the other right-turning vehicle.

Just a lot of uneeded noise pollution annoying people who don't need it and don't want it.

    Sorry about your wife, Final.

My wife also drives an EV and opposes needless siren pollution.

What a P.O.S. the Powercall is.

Its rapid sweep through frequencies is not as well perceived as slower Wail.

  • robert's gift must be obsessive compulsive jackassery disorder.

  • He must just be old, gives him something to do/complain about.

  • muhaha cool vid!

    Greets form germany.

  • omg please get a wail/yelp on that ambulance!!!!! powercalls or other versions of a pwercall just suck... that siren is just useless in my mind, all it is, is an annoyance!!! that and a hi-lo... i think ambulances/police cars should just have wail, yelp, priority and air horn, and fire engines/trucks should have wail, yelp, Q and air horn....

  • its sounds like dying animals

  • LMFAO

  • nice.....im liking the powercall on the ambo..........sounds good

  • i dont like powercall dont care whos version it is

  • what kind of siren is that?

  • Odd, is that a Powercall? Sounds kind of different.

  • its the audio qaulity on the vid/camera

  • nope, its the whelen version of it.

  • I cant see clear about you going to diffent state to Maryland?

  • OMg wat a disgusting NOise

  • i love the powercall siren !

    nice run

    greetz from germany

  • I know is saskatchewan the law is rather vague. u must yield the rite of way to an emergency vehicle. However, if in yielding to an emergency vehicle u are involved in an accident, ur SOL. But, they aslo state that EVOC training means that the operator should be the judge when entering the intersection if its safe to do so. My friend got hit frm behind by a cop while yielding to another. cop was at fault. so t does vary on circumstances. i gues #1 is just think and be safe.

  • The siren, is it getting higher and faster in tone the quicker you drive ?

  • its called the doppler effect

  • Good video. Delmar's an interesting place, everything-wise. Stay safe out there.

  • That siren is SOOO annoying! It sounded like you had a "Q" on there so you could have ran the power call along with the "Q" and not that fucked up England siren! And to PUD85 and lorne852 a ambulance does have the right of way and "October 7 1006" isn't "only 2 years agao" so I don't think your boat floats and I take it your not from the U.S. for the fact of using "80km/H".

  • hey dumb ass it's not a ambulance it's vary easy to tell first the people he passes by don't even look lol most people look at an emergency vehicle when it goes by with lights and sirens, but you can tell it's not a emergency vehicle because all street signs reflect the light and when the "ambulance" goes by the signs there is no flashing lights

  • thats right there at Ocean Highway and Foskey Lane isnt it?

  • fucking moron

  • if its the law not to yield to an emergency vehicle, then please explain to me why they have lights and sirens, it seems pointless if theyre just going to drive with the flow of traffic at the same rate as everyone else. And you cant call me an idiot when you use grammar that borders that of a mentally retarded 6 year-old on coke.

  • It is the law to give way to emergency veichles, how ever a emergency vechile has to give way to some one that has right of way, eg Ambulance going through red light, legally has to give way to the cars on a green. if there is a accident cause by a ambulance going through a red light, regardles of lights and sirens, the ambulance is responsable

  • no if an ambulance is going through a red light and there is a crash the other guy is responsible if you don't stop for an ambulance then your an idiot because think of it this way that ambulance is going to save someone's life and it may have to come save your life later on too would you be happy if you didn't stop and that person died because you just don't care? and if so tell me where you live and i will drive up there and when you need to be saved i will block the ambulance ass hole

  • Haha so funny, im actually a ambulance driver and that's the LAW the onus is on the Ambulance Driver, some intersections have vehicles traveling through them at 80km/h it is very unsafe for a car to try stop at that speed for a ambulance, it is also unsafe for the ambulance to enter that intersection unless it is safe to do so if your traveling through a intersection on a green light at speed and a ambulance pulls out then its the ambulances fault because it was unsafe to enter that intersection

  • first i would like to say i think your account is fake because you joined a week ago, but anyhow you think i am going to believe a random person when they say there are/do something with no proof at all? well im not i don't believe you have or ever will drive an ambulance, if your a paramedic then i am the owner of Google, which means i also own You tube and in that case i would ban your account lol

  • I joined October 7 1006 :), i will be working tomorrow, ill take some pictures if you want :)

  • ha ha lol so you joined over a thousand years ago, you are kidding right?

  • Well its only 2 years ago but i guess what ever floats your boat.

  • did you not see what you typed? are you fucking retard you said you joined october 7 1006?? if that is two years ago then please tell us all how we got to 2008

  • Calm down. PUD85's right though. I've been driving an ambulance for four years. If an ambulance runs a red light and gets involved in an accident, the ambulance, or engine or whatever, is at fault. Plenty of court cases back that up. State laws allow us to go through red lights, and what the lights and sirens do is "request the right of way." While every situation is different, it's always better to be safer. Legally in Virginia at least, we have to have "due regard" for public's safety.

  • yea. perfect example is in my area a police car tried to proceed through a red light and got tboned by a tractor trailer. can't expect a tractor trailer to stop on a dime, the emergency vehicle has to make sure it's safe before proceeding through a red light. which is why you're supposed to stop first.

  • I don't know what traffic laws exist in your country/state, but I think you don't understand them very well. I doubt that any court will prosecute a driver of a car because they entered a green light and got cleaned up by a negligent ambulance driver.

Where I'm from (Western Australia), drivers of an emergency ambulance are exempt from the traffic act (adherence to right of way, traffic signs, speed, etc), but not the code (dangerous driving, negligence, etc).

  • What on earth kinda siren is that?

  • oh powercall.... oh how you suck.

  • dOES IT HAVE 2 SIRENS

  • that was the most stupid thing ive ever heard dude, if youre going to make something up to try and be 'funny', atleast make it credible. Its the law in every state to yield to emergency vehicles, pull over to the right and stop. You are an idiot.

  • what type of siren is that in the beginning?

  • it was the Q of the firetruck at the end

  • powercall

  • One reason people don't pull over is that the law is never enforced. Not many police chiefs have the gonads to make an issue of this like they do speeding on holidays. It needs publicity and PD units behind busy ambulances and fire vehicles to convince people it is serious business to interfere with emergency vehicles.

  • I am a police officer in Quebec and sadly enough at rush hour we get dispatched most of the time ahead of the ambulances. If someone really stands out , being ignorant and not stopping tickets are issued.

  • is terrible how oncoming isn't pulling over and stopping...

  • youd think people would pull over wouldnt you? Sadly enough, people dont seem to get it that we could be coming for them or someone they know, but no one pulls over for us, which could result in death, but more times than not, delayed patient care..its kinda sad really...maybe they'll learn one of these days....

  • yup...i am sure one state already has that long term problem...Florida

  • yeah cars never pull over in the oncoming lane for me

  • terrible...

  • People think that if there's a lane for ambulances or fire trucks, thats all they need. They don't realize that their big trucks driving fast and it helps to have extra room.

    -vol. EMT-B/FF in Texas

  • what type of powercall is that??? im guessing a whelen

  • yea its a whelen

  • Sounds more like a Powercall to me.

  • It is the powercall tone.. but its Whelen's version

  • did i hear some uk two tones in there

  • Thumbs down for this? Sheesh, some brutes!

Yeah it did sound like a Euro 2-tone.

Now I know why Americans are so loud... they've been deafened by those sirens. :)

  • An EMT not wearing a seatbelt? Wow..... Anyway, good response
