I have nothing against Southerners or people from any region or country, but this flag stands for Southern rights, and one of those rights was slavery.

Some people who don't know about the flag's real meaning display it for "Southern pride," but the flag was made for racist purposes.

I do love the South, though. Mainly really nice, hospitable people with really good food, but some can be really close-minded about certain things--especially religion!

But you cannot generalize a total region.

As to the topic, many people in the north owned slaves. More to the point the war wasn't fought over freeing the slaves. Slavery didn't become an issue until 1863 and only then because the north was loosing. The war was fought over state rights, the belief that each state had the right to govern itself. Slaves even provided a lot of the labor for the union army. So if you want to bitch do a little research first so you will know what your talking about. The video was very good.
