I used to wear hanfus. It would only take me 15 minutes at most to put on an elaborate one. Make-up doesn't take that long either. I'd say that the hair would take the longest. But these beauties have the help for that.

it is not an ignorant generalization - very very very few non-mogoloid ladies (or men, for that sake) have single eye-lids. Alongside jet black hair it is one of the most substantial features and charms (!!!) of these races. These fotos do not show a true proportion of the ladies born with single eyelids found among Han ladies. Of course in media a lot of women have had their eyes cut to resemble "western" looks - but irl much more Han people have single eyelids - and should be proud of that!
Scandinavian ladies have all sort of hair colours, never the less the classical Scandivian beauty has blond hair. The classical Han beauty has single eye lids (and jet black hair) it is a mark of heritage. i vote for the single eye lid simply because i find it the most beautiful! Twelve Girls is (are? lol) super! I got a chance to see them live down in Dallas a couple years ago and they were kind enough to autograph my Shanghai CD insert. They are very talented musicians and the fact they are also beautiful ladies is just a plus! ;-)

汉服推广的群众基础已经有了，只要设计师们设计一些价位相对较低的汉服放在商店里，再在各大媒体上推广一下（比如提出在传统节日穿汉服的理念），就可大功告成了。其实女式汉服要推广真的很简单，男式较难一些：）

傳統服飾最重要的就是質感.目前一般民眾手工製作 的汉服都太粗糙也過於簡化.希望汉服推广後能夠陸續有專業設計的 汉服, 能像日本的和服那樣往精緻路線發展.

我个人认为关于汉服申遗的消息应该是假新闻，就算他们想要申遗，也是对Hanbok也就是韩服来申遗。不妨问一下韩国人来证实。
另则，从我个人的汉服知识，剧中汉服飘飘，文化鲜明，韩国自信此剧定能为申遗加分，这绝对不是明代汉服的特点...若说飘逸，也只有唐代部分制式符合这个标准了。

it is not an ignorant generalization - very very very few non-mogoloid ladies (or men, for that sake) have single eye-lids. Alongside jet black hair it is one of the most substantial features and charms (!!!) of these races. These fotos do not show a true proportion of the ladies born with single eyelids found among Han ladies. Of course in media a lot of women have had their eyes cut to resemble "western" looks - but irl much more Han people have single eyelids - and should be proud of that!

Scandinavian ladies have all sort of hair colours, never the less the classical Scandivian beauty has blond hair. The classical Han beauty has single eye lids (and jet black hair) it is a mark of heritage. i vote for the single eye lid simply because i find it the most beautiful! I know that there is this fad about where double eye-lids in vogue - and in these painting it is too obvious that these are westernized faces in Han clothings. It´s a shame i think!

i think every girl/woman wants to be beautiful like those asian actresses. and beauty is in the eye of the beholder as everyone knows. if she(your cousin) thinks double-eyelid would fit her more you should respect her opinion and let her do. but of course i don´t neglect your own opinion. if you think your single-eyelid is good then you should let it that way. no one has the right to change your opnion but you also can´t force somebody to follow your mind.

Naturally i respect the opinion of others, but i also feel responsible to try to make her aware of what she is doing.
It is not her own opinion, it is a fad she follows like a fashion slave, like when she had her hair curled and regretted it sorely. But this operation cannot be undone, her eyelids won´t grow back like her hair did.
She isn't thinking, just dreaming and she doesn´t take consequences into consideration. Unfortunately she is not the only one.

yeah! We are in scandinavia - the surgeons are not used to operate Asians (which, in this sense - inuits are) and there is no-one here who are experienced in performing this operation.
