The boys played in St. John's Newfoundland. Canada. On the last two days of the Keep the Faith Tour. What a show, I had a chance to work the show too.
it's really sad that a musician like richie sambora is so underrated! he's as good as slash, keith urban, angus young, mark tremonti and so many others but far more versatile. he can play hard rock, blues, jazz, acoustic and is awesomely amazing at all of them!
No wrong Richie Sambora is better than them lot especially slash and angus young because slash is up his own arse a bit and angus young is overrated because he keeps things simple with A, D AND G
umm i would definately say richie is FAR better musically than angus young .. angus is great but its one style and you can pick it when you listen to the music .. as you mentioned richie is more versatile.. just have to listen to this to appreciate his greatness.. fast doesnt make a "guitar god" .. when the guitar talks to you without lyrics .. THEN you know there is greatness .. :D i think he is far better musically than all that you mentioned.. :D
@Tomasch Hmmm ... sorry, but don't think so. Slash is not a bad guitarist but he is a sloppy player who just plays rehashed pentatonic licks. I have seen better players on streetcorners and I am not kidding. Fact is that Sambora is a better player. Labeling Slash as "awesome" is quite a stretch. When I think of an awesome guitarist I think of John Sykes, the late Gary Moore, John Norum, George Lynch, and Steve Vai for example. Definitely not Slash.
@inferno0666 But to be honestly. slash has a lot of feeling in his playing not as much as Richie but a lot of feeling which guys like Kirk Hammett or who else dont have ! So I agree totally with you!
@MrSamborasSon Kirk Hammett is not a player that comes to mind when I think of a guitarist who has a lot of feeling. Also, Hammett has terrible vibrato, it is really bad.
i know how u feel. i watch so much old stuff on youtube and wish i was born earlier just to experience the art of music that is now a days being forgotten.
mighty jovi .. the best intro til nw .. even better thn the wembley one .. and man jon's entry is always like outta world .. love the way he luks right and left .. and takes a deep breath .. jon jon jon man .. u rock
Cheers brother and i am so sorry for your loss. I`m 32 so i can`t begin to imagine how tough it must have been for you when you were only 10. Take it easy my friend :-)
My father died last Saturday, the moment he went i could not get Richies guitar intro out of my head. I know Richie lost his father to last year so i know exactly what he must have gone through. Thank you Richie and god bless you, your late father and my father.
My father died when I was ten and sometimes it feels like yesterday and Im 30 now, im so so sorry for your loss. What gets me through is knowing if it hadnt been for my dear father i wouldnt be listening and writing now, raspect, Im with you.
sorry to hear it too.. just weird how when it hits home only then can you understand what people mean. wouldnt wish it on anyone.. i lost my dad at 15.. now im 25. and im lost as fu*k still.
Richies intro has to be the single most beautiful piece of guitar playing i have ever heard. What an incredible musician and person.Hope he gets through all the shit hes been going through recently.
You know what, I've seen the other live dortmund videos n I have to say I'm really really stunned n amazed on Richie's guitar tone, the distortion sounds big, heavy, crunchy, n it's very typical Richie's tone, n the acoustic guitar sounded like it was coming from heaven...even since I was 13 I tried to immitate Richie's tone but I never came close to it..damn that tone, so great....

You're absolutely right dude. You just phrased perfectly! :D

@udayvirgarg22 Slash is not even in his league, acutally. Sambora is a better guitarists and overall musician.
