I want to get dual exhaust on my boyfriends 1998 ford explorer xlt and i dont know where to start? Do i just go to a muffler shop and say "throw sum dual exhaust on here"? what do i all gotta do to get it to sound just like the one in the VID? pls give me sum answers????? its a 5.0 V8.. it looks the exact same as the one in the video. THX!!!
@MegaReviloo its a 5.0 high output (same as the mustang ones) but the explorer ones in later years worked better then any 5.0 mustang did.. this probably has gt40 heads on it or gt40p's

Mig your right, I have a 2006 explorer with 4.6 liter v8. I have a cold air intake and a few other small bolt ons and it runs 0-60 in under 6 seconds. Just was racing a rice rocket yesterday getting on the freeway. It had no chance. This isnt a racecar like you said though. Still my baby and fun to drive!

how did you get duals on that, i got a 2000 XLT 4.0 and i cant get duals cuz mt gas tank is on the left side. where is the gas tank located on yours? i just have a glass pack and it come out the right side like normal, but i might take off that tail pipe and cut a new pipe and make it come out in front of the back right tire. but yea let me know about yours

yeah but what the v8 for the explorer is not for get up and go its for tourque to get the bigass thing moving. also more cylinders = smoother engine operation.
Not neccisarily (sp?) Your right on the tourque though. But doesnt mean smoother engine operation. You could give a fucking 16litre to Hyundai and they wouldnt make it run as well as the vtec 4 cyl.
I would have to yes 200hp but 295 ft lbs of torque... So thats where the v8 advantage comes in.. Im not saying its fast though but they still pull well compared to v6s of the same year.. Especially japenese stuff from that time..
