A skeptic in an audience in Vegas had asked Sylvia what his father's name was, which he knew. His father was norweigan and had a very distinguishable name, such as Frueden or something like that. Anywayz, Sylvia just cold read him and announced, "George". The skeptic said, "No" and Sylvia immediately went onto another question attempting to dismiss her failing. I forgot to add that Sylvia had another psychic named Colette Baron-Reid who drew numbers from bracelets and did a few readings. I sat there with my Mother, and my bracelet number was hard to read. My Mom wanted me to go get a new bracelet and I told her, "No, she's going to draw my number." Sure enough...it happened.

the problem with people like u is you look at the times she wasnt right, and not the times she was, this woman has helped police in countless cases and has been a working psychic for 30 yrs, if she was really that bad she would be put out of business, if u dont like her dont watch it

There is no evidence at all that Sylvia Browne has made any meaningful contribution to any police investigation on any subject ever. She is a liar and a fraud. People of good conscience have a duty to denounce her for the hurt she has caused grieving families. Opal Joe Jennings, Shawn Hornbeck, Terrence Farrell, Amanda Berry, Eve Brown, Holly Krewson, and the Sago Miners -- all of these people were the subjects of incorrect readings.

It would be nice if she were right even half the time. She isn't. She does no better in her readings than would be expected by chance. You'd do as well to save your $700 and buy a magic 8-ball from the local novelty shop.

And I would no more ignore her predatory antics than I would those of some other con artist. That she's been lying and scamming for 30 years is immaterial.

If you know of a case where Browne has actually done good with those vaunted "psychic powers" of hers, do tell!
