Yeah, I have that orignal, too. with Maggie's Blue Five. Louis is incredible on it. I have heard some fantastic European classic jazz bands on YouTube, but you guys are the absolute best: pure feeling; pure jazz; it doesn't get any hotter than that. Thank you!!!
all of these videos are fantastic, but it was the original of this song from 1925 that made me LOVE this kind of music more than anything other music. you guys are fantastic here, and Eva, well she is perfect, have an LP of Eva with Maggie's Blue Five from the 70's (but I like this more), 5 stars? I give this 500 STARS, I can't believe how good the band is on this video BYW (and I do own an LP of the Peruna Jazzband),merci bien yves francois
WOW!!! These are GREAT!!! I can't thank you enough for sharing them with us. The Williams family has a right to be proud, she sings these songs like second nature to her. Amazing, fantastic!! She needs more recognition back here is St. Louis as this is where she was from.
Sure brings back a lot of memories. Eva Taylor is my grandmother. I was at that performance with my father Spencer Williams and my mother Geraldine. We three accompanied my Grandmother on that tour. Feels like it was just yesterday I love seeing her perform.
This is the first time I've ever seen my great grandmother alive. I just wanted to say thank you both. Uncle Spencer for letting me know that this was here, and Arne, for posting it.
It was days i´ll always remember, She was in Denmark
three times, with her son Spencer (you can almost se
him in the background) her daughter in law and their two Dhildren. I think she was on the stage with us 10 to 15 times at "Vognportn" She was realy something.
Magníficas grabaciones, muchas gracias por compartirlas..

Wasn't Papa De Da Da one of her signature songs? Meaning one that was generally associated with her?

Arne, what a wonderful piece of jazz history you brought back from the seventies by your great Danish band and the legendary Eva Taylor!
