We used the Nady rsm-8a mic only for Fred's vocal. We were miming along with the sound recording.

We do it all in one night. We record the sound first. Then we mime along with the sound recording while filming. Then I stay up all night doing the editing.

I am guitarist who has never viewed Hendrix or any of the antics at Woodstock with any credence.

During those 4 days of August, 1969 there were 109 American Service Men killed in Vietnam and one of them was my older Brother, Joel B. Robertson, Lance Corporal, USMC who deserves much more recognition than Hendrix in my view.

40 years later the elite media outlets have never praised those sacrificed for the Woodstockers.

Very grateful you allowing me to place proper perspective here.

I think Fred has a great singing voice too. Fred possesses a certain coolness that puts him into a league of his own. Not to say anyone can be as cool as Jimi Hendrix, but I like the contrast between Freds coolness and the (implied?) uncoolness of the rest of our group in this video.

Drew, you are a Strat/ Hendrix guy yourself. Hey, I watched Hendrix playing at Woodstock on DVD before we made this video. Hendrix was so dang cool! And I loved his interaction with the other band members. Hendrix was so happy and cool on stage, while his band mates (in my opinion) seemed nervous to be there in front of 450,000 people. Our Jimi Hendrix is Fred Wilson. Fred plays lefty, but has it strung righty. Fred has been helping out as a salesman at my guitar store, but his real job is as a C-130 mechanic in the Air Force. He will be deploying soon and we had to hurry up and do this video before he heads out. Freds a wonderful guy, and I think his personality comes through in this video.
