Great job, Kamisha! I subscribed. I too, am thinking of getting some Earthboxes. Do you ever send away for seeds or do you buy locally only. I am looking for a seed company which doesn't have genetically altered seeds. If you can recommend a good seed source, I'd really appreciate it. I thoroughly enjoyed your video and look forward to more
The main reason is the reservoir on the bottom gives the plants just the right amount of water. Once I fill it I never have to worry about wether or not the plant is getting what it needs. I get to copy a system that's a proven winner. All the experimenting has been done for me and all I have to do is follow the plan. There are some things I keep in containers. I am still sort of experimenting with that. For instance herbs are so easy, no need to put them in a EB. I would get way too many.
Hi Kamisha, could you inform me about the soil? Do you just buy the potting soil or you mix by yourself? If so, do you mind telling what kind of mixture do you use? Thanks.
Wow! I just recently heard of Earthboxes and these look amazing - the plants look so healthy and beautiful. I can't get over how many tomatoes and squash after just one month! :)
hi kamisha...i just wanted to know if you started with the seeding in the earthbox or did you alrady have tomato plants ready and just planted them in the earthbox from there? Thanks...you planted a lot! I'm thinkin of getting me an earthbox too.
It depends on the plant. With the tomatoes, my understanding is that tomatoes are a plant that prefer not to be direct sown. I bought them as seedlings from a local place, with my cucumbers and corn I started those from seed directly in the EB. Every thing else was bought as plants as well.
I use the ultomato staks. They are just ok for me. Because I set my boxes on the concrete its harder to get a good staking sysytem. When I relocate my garden I am hoping to have something a bit more permanent that I can drive into the ground.
Thanks everyone for all the positive feedback. I so enjoy being able to grow my own veggies. With food prices running through the roof, it's great to do something I enjoy and ease up on the purse at the same time.
I love the earthbox, and your garden is amazing! Thank you so much for posting, it was fun. Oh by the way your commentary was very good. Keep growing!
Great looking plants. I'm amazed you got such growth and harvest so quick! Two months in and I'm just getting the first flowers on my tomato. Well done!

They are beautiful! Is growing squash the same concept as growing zucchini? How many can I plant in one earth box?

@Kamisha100 LOL Wish I would have read that comment before we decided to grow parsley and basil. We had huge herb plants.

I looked at a few of your videos, cool! Why do you think the earth boxes are easier than regular container planting?

I have some new staking in place. I think these will hold up much better than the ultimato.
