Linh! I have my DAT test on Saturday (the Canadian one)!!! I have been following you since this September!
First of all, let me say that you are amazing, I love what you're doing! I think it's great that you are sharing so much! You're a true inspiration to aspiring dental students!
Thank you for sharing with us your trip to Grenada! I want to do the same thing in the near future!
Sounds like a terrific mission! It must be awesome to set out with all the knowledge you have as a D3 and help so many people :)
You mentioned that the project is funded by Grenada Ministry of Health--does that mean travel+room n board or supplies? (or is it funded more by Colgate/NYU?) In short, did you have to fundraise in order to cover the costs of your service project?
@cattolyst Yes Grenada Ministry of Health pays for our room and board and transportation around the island. And Colgate and NYU helps with the supplies and funding as well. For this particular outreach, everything is covered and I did not have to pay anything. For clinical outreaches offered at NYUCD, students have to pay $500-1000 depending on the outreach.
@linhphandds Sweet--this is definitely something I'll have to look into when applying. Thanks for giving all of us pre-dents a glimpse into the types of activities that you can do, even as a student :DD
Thank you for helping the children of Grenada
