  • oh great job...we need to teach Will that. he still not keen on picking his dumbell up at the mo though, he just likes to paw it or touch it!! but i am sure Jess will get there with him. your pony is gorgeous:))

  • @MultiAnimalcrackers Thanks! For Mantra I started with the ball in my hands and clicked him for taking it and holding it. From there I clicked for duration, and THEN I started asking him to move his feet. I find it easier to work this backwards than to start with the ball on the ground. Hope this helps :-)

  • @Peggasus09 Thankyou, yes this is the way i train my dogs:))

  • Mantra, you are too beautiful and cute! Great Hoops and Great Job!! :-))

  • oO...lol I guess any expectations higher then them dunking the ball would be absurd. Though them literally shooting the ball into the whoop would be pretty cool.

  • @jp2691

ROFLOL...you know...training them to toss the ball could be quite fun....Actually, since I have 3 minis who play I was thinking about teaching to play some one on one LOL. My full sized horses are getting tired of watching the minis play all the fun games :-)

  • That would be cool, if one of them stands out more in the sport then you can nick name it shaq lol. Ahh poor full sized horses D:> They should get to play a game to lol. Soccer might be there sport =P.

  • Either Shaq or Kobe :-)

Or I could get 2 hoops and 4 minis and watch the games begin. Now THAT would be some good training...teams of 2 with passing and the horses recognizing their own "goal" or basket. OK...gotta stop...I'm revealing too much of myself here....I'm a total training geek and I LOVE thinking of fun things to teach the horses to do LOL.

  • LOL I see nothing wrong with that, teaching them something like that would be a pretty fun thing to do. If you succeed then that would be something totally knew. I mean tell me...where have you seen 2 on 2 mini horse basketball? I haven't D:<. And I think we are due for that lol

  • Super Cute!

  • Thanks...I've got 2 other minis who have learned to play...I'm thinking it would be fun to teach them some one on one...LOL.

  • Sweet!

  • Thanks Deb...he had waaay too much fun that day...didn't want to let go of the ball! All in all it's big progress for this intense little horse.

  • Super Peggy. Way to go Mantra.
