who can tell the difference if not seen weather it is a Jazz, P Bass, Rick whatever....nobody! I think there's more discussion about the instrument´s sound than needed!

actually your wrong.... musically inclined people can tell what instrument is being used on a cd or whatever,,,, its easy to determine what type of bass is being used if not muddled up in all sorts of shitty effects.

if people wanna talk about his trademark amazing tone ... then let it fucking be!

I think you need to see an Ear Dr. if you can't distinguish between a Precision or Jazz bass.

Sounds, like colors, can be distinguished, learned, and of course, memorized. All it takes is practice.
