in spain they use vosotros in stead of nosotros and they use different words for some things like conche instead of carro (mexico) for car. or conducir for to drive instead of manejar which most mexicans use. you would still say me gustaria pedir. you change adjectives for gender and number.

Latin Spanish normally never say the letter c, all words that contain the letter c, the pronounced like an s.

Gaelic has this in common with Spanish. A more direct translation of "tengo hambre" would be "I have hunger" not "I am hungry".
