please someone answer my question:: i have a 10 gallon tank but its not the tall version can a baby crestie do well in there untill he is about 4 months??
@halofan654 Doesn't anyone answer this for you? Yes, of course a young gecko will do fine in this setup. Provide lots of climbing places and hiding places. Mist daily and provide CGD.
You just answered my question and I'm getting one in a few days and then going on vacation three weeks later for a week. Will my gecko be alright on it own if I leave meal worms in a dish and a couple of bowls of water
what should i feed them i have 2 that just hatched about 5 days ago and i have some baby food in a very small inclosure. . should i feed them smalll crickets or should i wait?
@MAO94matt about 10 weeks :) Seriously, it depends on the size of the container. With babies, we keep them in the smaller kritter keepers until they are about a month and a half then transfer then to a container that is about 5 gallons for another 3 months. At that point they are either sold or marked as a hold back and moved to a 10 gallon tank. Hope this helps.
@geckokid94 I start with the diet right away- simply because I am feeding many animals, it doesn't make sense to exclude this one or that one simply because the are under 3-4 days. We feed the diet exclusively for about a month or so then start adding crickets and mealworms to their enclosures.
I think everyone does it a bit different. I like the kks' size and ease of use. This year, I may think about a tub & rack system to make it a bit easier- something around 8 qts. However, I will still have the paper towel and egg cartons in the enclosure.
I keep my baby crested gecko in a large sterilite show-off bin. I installed window screening in the top for ventilation. I use paper towel as a substrate, with fake small exo-terra plants, and bamboo.

@131natamaru no they don't need a lamp, they just need humidity between 60-80% and temperatures between 65-80 degrees.

The best thing you can feed baby crested geckos is Crested Gecko Diet.
We feed CGD to our babies right from the start.
You can find it on our Supreme Gecko store page.

can you keep baby geckos together?
TheBaty 1 year ago
@TheBaty absolutely. We keep two together, clutch mates, and have never had an issue.
SupremeGecko 1 year ago
@TheBaty that is a great idea that I share often. Don't rub as much as dab the food on the nose and allow it to lick it off.

This is a good setup for a baby. I use Faunariums which are the same thing really as a kritter keeper.
