It's also what kids have or how rich their parents are. The only thing they have sort of right is that kids develop a reputation, but they didn't even mention nerds or fat kids.

T His "popularity unpopularity" thing is a waste of time. Why don't we just throw out the system? WE, the student body, decide who's popular or not. So, if we just treated everyone the same and accepted everyone, it would be fine. The people with poor social skills then they'll learn them. If it's not a behavioral problem and it's some superficial thing(being overweight/born with a disability/being gay) children should learn to accept them. Then, what will be the difference?

This video is complete utter crap. I've been unpopular at my school for almost every school year. i'm a geek, and i'm shy so not a lot of people would talk to me because i didn't talk to them. I would sometimes hear people snickering or whispering behind my back. But i didn't care. I agree with other comments. Id rather be who i am then care what other people think about me. Be the person you are not the person someone else wants you to be.

I am gorgeous (not to sound concieded). I've never been popular in my entire life. I just don't like talking people. I find popularity useless. I don't care if I'm excepted by my peers; I don't need student admiration to survive in school. I've never dated anyone (I don't find that strange, but my peers do) and they picked on me. I showed no emotion, and they left me alone. Being unpopular isn't a problem for me. Some people strive for popularity...But I can be pretty and unpopular, as well.

This isn't all true. It's only one small part of the whole umbrella term called 'unpopularity.' Besides, not all unpopular kids go suicidal, drugged, and become some thug. This isn't so clear. This vid, to put it bluntly, sucks! Besides, some of the unpopular kids are the most coolest kids I know. But there are some psychopaths too (like my three unpopular unsocial friends). But my other unpopular friends are real cool girls.Then I have friends who are 'in.' I fit it pretty much anywhere.

Kids that feel rejected may "act out" to gain "cred" with their peers.
You also can't parent all kids the same way. If you planned to have a math genius but your daughter isn't "academically talented" then you're going to feel disappointed and the kid will sense it.

I was not a popular child. I was shy and other kids often made fun of me. You know what though? I wouldn't change it. My past is what made me who I am today. I am a successfull person who recently graduated one of the best collegest in my state. Life is what you make it and there are a lot of reasons people can be unpopular. Sometimes kids are just mean. There's a far deeper reason for social unpopularity. Being rejected by the world according to Jesus Christ is in fact to be accepted by God. The world is often in Scripture presented as an enemy against God. You are either of the world or you are of God. If you are of the world the Love of God is not in you. If you are of God then the world will naturally dispise you and reject you. I think for us who suffer with rejection now will see better days a head.
