@captainBD123 no no its cool man, I just wanted to tell you what it was thats all, you were not rude or anything. This video is of a jet, they dont carry dropping bombs because they are outfitted for dog fighting. some times they carry fuel reserves, and dump them when empty. They need every bit of excess weight off for what they do.

@captainBD123 If you are in high school ask for the JROTC program, they provide you with some basic things to prep you up, you know, see if you like it. Besides that being in top shape will help, good vision, other wise correctable with out surgery, but no glasses. Being short, high blood pressure helps with the g force, long lanky guys tend to pass out easier. other than that ask the JROTC instructor he will know more.

1.You need a fuck loads of money for private flight lessons.

2.You need to be taller than 180 cm..(about 5 feet.)

3.You need strong muscles.

5.heathy teeth (no seals.)

6.Your middle finger needs to be longer than 12 cm.(not sure why..lol)

7.You need 100% healthy eyesight.

and your good to go...

@MrJustsomerandomguy the middle finger stuff isn't true...i just passed my flight physical for the marine corps (they have F-18s). Its all standard stuff, they check all medical history like past surgeries, broken bones etc. You don't have to have 20/20, you can have 20/30 but it must be able to be corrected to 20/20. No lasek surgery or contacts allowed. Other than that, you just have to be generally very healthy to make the height/weight requirements and pass the physical exam.

I know it sounds stupid. I'm going to pursue a military career. I really have not decided what to do, I still have a few years. I have really thought about being a Marine but lately I have been thinking of pursueing a Navy pilot's job. Anyone got any input for me? I wear glasses, can I get laser eye surgery to correct my vision if I decide to to on Navy pilot? Thanks :)

To become a pilot you need to be an officer with a degree. The Naval Academy is just like another university/college so if you go there you don't have to go to somewhere else. It's one or another, not both. Your chances of flying isn't higher, all depending on how you do on your tests, training, and so forth.

If you have a 4 year degree, you'll need to make it through a pretty rigorous OCS program.  You'll have a better shot at selection if you have an areonautical degree of some sort and good grades.

There are a few ways to do this. You can go to Annapolis and graduate from there, which will be your best bet if you want to fly. You can go to NROTC and get 4 years there and graduate and be commissioned as a 2nd Lt. Thats a good way to go too. You can get a 4 year degree and the go to OTS or OCS (i forgot which one for navy). But they dont give to many pilot slots if you go through OTS. If i were you and i was still in high school, i would try to go the NROTC way.

OK Just to let everyone know you can get a waiver for just about every medical problem that they bring up and with the eyes...all the services just started to allow lasic surgury so even if your eyes arent good you can get the surgery and your good to go
