Wow! I just had my septoplasty Thursday. I should get my splints out this Tuesday... did it hurt when they took the stitch out? That is what got me worried.
Im having mine removed tomorrow. was it like immediate relief after removing? Also does the dry blood clots in your nose keep happening for long? And can you finally blow your nose afterwords, im sik of snorting up and spiting out mucus blood.
@TheeWiccaChick Not at all. I am having my septum straightened this coming week and was SO afraid of having the splints removed. I heard how terrible it is. I feel so much better. Thank you SO much for showing this. I love you tube.
@julieification My dad was a Surgical Nurse and told me that they used to (and some Dr's Still do) use Gauze to pack up there, and they say that those are pretty painful to remove. Ask your Dr if he can use these, because it only felt like a huge piece of snot sliding out my nose (Gross I know.) As you saw, no pain what-so-ever.
@mrsmegz Well, maybe someone else can benefit from your advice. I had the surgery2 days ago and nasal packing taken out yesterday. IT HURT!! But it's fast fortunately. This surgery also straightened my nose so I am excited!! Thanks anyhow.
@mrsmegz i'm on day three of my recovery and i had no gauze packing fortunately. i get my splints removed in six days time and i can't wait. i'm having the worst post-nasal drip imaginable, but i know it'll be worth it in the end.
@acousticdrewber83 ..just a waste !,,,if you have allergic rhinitis this crap wont help ..just waste of blood efforts and money ~!............i went thru this in January 2011
@Heavengirle it depends on why you get the surgery. i had a deviated septum so bad that it caused 90% blockage. i was fortunate in that i didn't really have any sinusitis or rhinitus. i just wanted to be able to breathe when i slept. i already can tell (on day three of my recovery) that everything is going to be worlds better.

@mikeytrix1 Your supposed to go easy on heavy breathing and blowing for the first few weeks after. Ask your Dr, see what he tells you to do.
